You bring up a point that I'm sure no one here thinks about much, but I do. With the poor history and tradition that UWS has for basketball, it has been pretty encouraging to see how they have started to turn things around in the past 4-5 years. In the Hill/Smith/Culy/Roeder era they made 3 appearances in the conference semi-finals. The last 4 years they were exactly .500, which compared to the rest of the league isn't great, but compared to their history I'm sure is a solid improvement showing, showing some consistency to winning more. Between Hill, Smith and Culy, the three were all in the top 10 for all-time scoring at UWS, as well setting other school and WIAC records. Now we look at this year, and Siverling has a team that lost 4 starters and had very little meaningful experience outside of Aalfs and Ritchie, and he has the Yellowjackets in 4th place! Granted the league is down this year, but I just am so happy to see that the program is going in the right direction and hopefully they can continue to improve and stay consistent. I'm glad you posted about UWS having the only 3 winless conference seasons, it gave me a great excuse to go on a rant for you all :D :D :D

Smith was a beast and despite what he could do to us he was one player that I really enjoyed watching play.  I like Aalfs too.  It will be interesting to see how the big guy, Byrne, developes.

Greek Tragedy

There's 23 poster participating in the pick em league.

Every poster picked Whitewater and River Falls to win.
22 of 23 picked Stevens Point over Platteville (big k)
22 of 23 picked La Crosse over Stout (stoutfan1)

I have a feeling the Point at Platteville game is going to go down to the wire and possibly the last possession.  I hope I'm wrong, but I was right when I said the Packers would lose to the Giants (I didn't say it on this board, but my friends know!).

It's always tough to win at Platteville and Stevens Point always gets everyone's best shot.  Stevens Point can't have a letdown in the second half like has become a trend thus far this season.  I'm definitely nervous for the game, I hope Point comes to play.

No Chris Davis in the starting line-up for Whitewater tonight at Oshkosh...

Details anyone?

Oshkosh makes a change with Johnson and Nickel replacing Royston and Wurtz in the starting line-up....
2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

2008-09 WIAC Pick'Em Tri-Champion

Greek Tragedy

Not happy to hear about either of those situations, though I was thinking about dropping Royston anyway!

And an Aalfs 3 pointer at the buzzer beats RF 85-82

Is Abegglen back on UWSP?  I saw him on the live stats during the first half or was this an error?

I didn't get to see much before the last few minutes, but RF was down the second half and finally got it tied with 5 seconds left only to see Aalfs go down the length of the court and hit a leaning 3 at the buzzer for the win.  Tough loss for RF with Point and WW both winning.  From what I saw, Manor and White scored consistently inside, but Superior always seemed to answer with a big shot

Congrats to Ollie White, former 6th man (when Palmer beat him out) who was named WIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Greek Tragedy

Superior still had live stats from the St. Scholastica game, just like last time I tried to check the Superior game.

I nearly picked Superior over River Falls too, but didn't!  Oh well!

Hello, WIACers. I enjoyed the game tonight; didn't realize the buzzer shot was a three. One has to focus on the basket in order to help the cosmos guide the ball through it...

Chris Davis out due to low-grade MCL sprain suffered in practice yesterday.

Send the video to Pat Coleman! The buzzer beater page is up and running again.
