Whitewater jumps 95 points and 3 spots from 5th to 2nd and actually gets a 1st place vote.

Point drops 11th to 15th and 121 points.

River Falls goes from ORV (36th and 16 points) to ORV (35th and 7 points) after losing to Superior and topping Point.

Huge win for the Falcons at Quandt! That place is good for 10-15 points for UWSP on a nightly basis, visiting teams just don't win there.

Point had won 29 in a row... It was a school record and I believe the longest in the country.

All good things must come to an end I guess!

WOW! I knew that place was tough but DAAAAAANG! This is why I still think RF is the best team in the WIAC. Love UWWs defense but we'll have to see if they can win W/O the best player not only on their team but in the conference. Good to know w/ the teams success this year the WIAC might get 3 bids to the big dance.

Though against Stout and Oshkosh, they have won two games on the road without him.  If Davis doesn't play on Wednesday and the 'Hawks win, then the rest of the league is in big trouble.  They did handle River Falls pretty handidly in Whitewater.  They basically had a double digit lead the whole second half.

Though River Falls has FIVE losses already, only 3 count in the NCAAs.  Viterbo and Sioux Falls aren't D3.  So, expect one more loss for River Falls (they would have to at least lose in the conference tourney for a Pool C bid).

Unfortunately, all four of Point's losses are in-region.

Hawks down by 10 at halftime.  Up by 5 in second half.  Now down by 4.  Gotta protect the home court guys!

This is a heck of a game...  Davis is trying to go but he's clearly not 100%

Stout loses 50 to 72 I believe. White could be stopped in the few minutes of the game scoring 6 or 8 quick down on the block. Stout battled for the first 9 or 10 minutes but went into the half down by 19. After consecutive 3's by the Blue Devils (J. Pax, Thomas, and Ragland) they cut the Falcons lead down to 10 eventually. After missing multiple opportunities to get the lead into single digits River FAlls pulled away to an easy victory.

Kujak for Stout was extremely aggressive but couldnt finish around the basket or knock down the shots, but was nice to see someone at least attempt to step up in the absence of Oman. Manor had a solid game with about 16 or 18 points (8 for 8 from the charity strip I think) with a few boards and a couple steals. Rivers outside game struggled except for Utke with his rraaaaiiiinnbow of a shot  :P. Anderson went 0-5/0-6 from downtown, all being basically wide open. Nothing different for the Blue Devils in tonights game..... they gotta change something to get that "spoil win" against a team battling for a conference playoff spot.

Manor has dble/dble w/18 pts., 10 boards, Kimble has 13 and 8 assists, White, 11; Utke 15 pts in 14 minutes off the bench, Guerin has 10 boards, 5 pts. Three teams at 8-2 coming into the stretch. RF has only one away game left, at EC.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

No--RF also goes to Lax, so four of last six at home.

Point takes one in WHITEWATER 71-60.  Point got out of the gate quickly on a pair of three pointers from Giordana but the WARHAWKS responded tying the score 6-6 and built a lead as high as six points that they held with the exception of three ties for the next eight and half minutes.  Point regained the lead on a three pointer from Hass built it to a high of eleven and held it to the half ended 35-26.  The first eight and half minutes of the second half saw the WARHAWKS make a 19-5 run and hold a 45-40 advantage.  The next seven minutes decided the game.  After going 3 of 14 to start the half the Pointers made 7 or their next 8 shots including 3 three pointers and a pair of free throws.  When it ended they had pushed their lead to 11, 61-50 with four minutes remaining.  The WARHAWKS managed to get back within five a couple of times after that but Point responded each time.

Point out shot the WARHAWKS 50% to 38%.

Alec Merg led four WARHAWKS in double figures with 12 points.  Alex Edmunds (11), Luke Knoble (10) and Chris Davis (10) were the others.

The Pointers also had four players score in double figures with Tyler Tillema (16) leading the way.  Brezinski (13), Hass (12) and Dan Tillema (10) were the others.

Not only was it a good road win for the Pointers but should the conference end with a tie involving them, WHITEWATER and/or River Falls they will hold the tie breaker.

Greek Tragedy

I'm anticipating at least two upsets involving The Big Three before the conference season ends.  Whitewater at River Falls doesn't count.
