Is WW/Wheaton the first game?  I haven't checked times or anything, but I agree that based on what I've seen walk up sales should be a plenty but I'd be shocked if there's a strong contingent of WW fans.  It's sad to see that being from UWW that support isn't as enthusiastic as a UWSP or such, but this is D3 basketball and there's plenty of other stuff to do in MLW or Madison.  Since I stopped working out there in 2008 I really can't get a gauge on what's the buzz around there.

GO HAWKS!

Home team must play second, so Whitworth vs. VWC is the first game.

I was just kidding.  No one would be more surprised than me if we sold out.  I do think we'll have more students attend but not enough to sell out.

The WARHAWKS will play the second game.

Yes, sorry, I meant that even if all of the Wheaton fans showed up early for the first game (Whit v VWC) it still wouldn't be full. I doubt VWC will have more than a handful of parents/alumni in the area, much like Whitworth. Which, for Whitworth is a whole lot better than last year, playing Wooster on their home court in front of a couple thousand Wooster supporters.

Wheaton students are still on spring break through this weekend so the Thunder crowd will be limited to parents and the few brave souls who venture back a couple days early from their break.

To add to that, Wheaton fans have never particularly travelled well.

badgerwarhawk, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you the gentleman I met many, many moons ago who always wears a ref shirt?

If you come be sure to stop by and say hi.  Come early, we might sell out.

Are you serious?  For Friday?  I would find that hard to believe, but if you say so!

Though VWU and Whitworth are a plane flight, Wheaton is close... and if they don't split sessions, then the few who do come from Virginia or Oregon could eat up seats.

And who knows... maybe there's a buzz around campus and more students will show up?
Whitworth is in Spokane, WASHINGTON.

Many, many moons ago I wore a ref shirt because I was the game scorer so that is very possible.  These days I am on the clock so I no longer wear it.  If you're around I hope you'll stop by and say hi.   That goes for anyone else as well.  I always like to meet other posters to put a face to the name.

Ha Ha Ha!  I made that mistake several years ago and got railed on for a week! LOL.  I didn't even catch that this time and nearly everyone else missed it too.  We Midwesterners must not be good in geography!  Sorry NWhoops!

Besides, you never know, maybe fans from Oregon are coming!

I know that Spokane is in Washington. I just confused Whitworth with Willamette in terms of location.

Now, if only they named their schools after the towns they were in... it would make everything that much easier!

If we were all state schools then maybe that would be an option...
