Can Jerrel Harris and John Johnston come back to Point to please?  That's part of my christmas list.

How about Jerrel Harris and Jared Jenkins type players instead. I've heard that two recruits from the Chicago area will be joining the program as well. Kent Dernbach's time at NIU appears to have paid off. Don't know to much about them other than one is a 5'10" guard and the other a 6'4" forward who averaged a double-double his senior year.

Any names??  I'm curious as I like to follow the recruiting of Point.

I don't have his name (just Twitter handle) but there's a guy from Joliet who tweeted earlier today that he's going to UWSP.

OMG - you follow anonymous high school students on Twitter that you don't even know who they are?! :o  Does that make you a twit?! ;D

(I'm assuming the tweet was reported to you, or you read it somewhere second-hand. ;))

It's a magical thing called a "search."   ;)

I just did a twitter search for various iterations of UWSP (UW Stevens Point, Wisc Stevens Point, Wisconsin Stevens Point) and the last one scored!

I would not be at all surprised if Todd Adrian and MSOE guy will both be after Oshkosh hard as well.  Not sure about the other too.

Does anyone think Dave Buchanan will go after Oshkosh?

Adrian won't be going to any WIAC school in the near (or possibly far) future. He's the new head coach at Otterbein according to the Wisconsin State Journal: http://host.madison.com/news/state_and_regional/otterbein-in-ohio-names-new-men-s-basketball-coach/article_ca24a28e-966a-5496-8a1d-8ae1526a4108.html

Hoops Junkie

okay with Adrian out at Oshkosh who is the leader in the clubhouse...

Any rumors floating at Superior?

What about Edgewood?

Homj42

Two things I don't understand about the Oshkosh search.
Why is the Residence Life Director heading the search?  That's like the AD hiring the Residence Hall Directors.  Maybe they should have the commons manager as the co-chair of the search committee.
Why is it taking so long?  If they are waiting so long to hire because they don't want to pay anyone during the summer, then they are not looking for the right person.  The right person would dive in now and be fine waiting until August to get a check.  They is a prime position.  They need to hire someone high energy and hungry for a chance.  Seems like UWO really has a mess on their hands right now.

From rumors and reading things online, it looks like Whitewater's recruiting looks like this:

Ron Patten Whitefish Bay/Walk on at Milwaukee
Darnell Harris Milwaukee Hamilton
Nick Olson Brookfield Central
Andrew Sommerville Janesville Parker

Anybody hear anyone else??

With looking at the other WIAC schools' recruiting classes, it really seems to me that Point and Whitewater are separating themselves talent wise for the near future after last year being a closer conference race.

As a Point fan, I'm extremely intrigued with who they are bringing in this year.  I wanted them to get size, I don't think they could have done a better job.  Going to Point:

Clayton Heuer 6'9"  UWGB/Wisconsin Rapids
Dan Studer 6'8"  Germantown
Ross Thorn 6'8"  Three Lakes
Sean McGann 6'4"  Baraboo
Rumored:  2 guards from Illinois

Just trying to get some conversation going, what is everyone expecting from the WIAC this year??  Like I alluded to earlier in this post, I really expect it to be a 2 horse race and next year's games between Point and Whitewater will be must sees.

Greek Tragedy

I've always thought Point v Whitewater were always must see.  Of course, I'm a Pointer fan, so what do you expect...
