No Demeteris or Ward on bench? Van Handel and Devon there though? Whats up, explanations?

I know that NVH is injured, but he tweeted a picture with an LU player after the game so I know he was there.

Devon isn't eligible until second semester. I don't know if he can practice with the team until then... but I'm pretty sure he can't travel with them.

That doesn't mean he didn't come over on his own...

And I don't have any info on the other Jackson or Ward, but as I look at the roster, neither one is on it.

Players had up until Wednesday to continue to practice (call it grayshirting or an extended tryout, whatever you'd like) to decide if they wanted to stay with the team and use a year of eligibility or to step away for the rest of the year.

We know that Coach Semling uses a pretty short bench, though he did play everybody who was available last night (so no NVH or Tyler Forsyth). I think in some respects, guys can see the writing on the wall a little bit and decide that they want to do something else with their time, perhaps... or maybe they just want to focus on school work for the first year and then try out again in the future.

Lawrence came out hot. The Pointers hung in there until Lawrence went ice cold then took the game over and then hung on. Haas, Tillema and Heuer played well. Joe Ritchay had a couple of clutch plays when they needed it. Van Handel continues to rehab his knee-the picture he tweeted was Lawrence freshman Trace Sonnleitner(high school teammate at Appleton North). Giordana just didn't get the open looks. Lawrences' Davis De Wolfe was impressive but hampered by foul trouble. Next up-St. Olaf.

Young Whitewater team this season. Only three seniors on the roster.

Greek Tragedy

Point only has 2 seniors. Ward and Jackson were on the roster before. Hadnt checked it recently. Knew the others were hurt and ineligible. Read and heard Demeteris had a good purple/gold  game.

It's not white there yet, is it?

I couldn't imagine why Platteville invited Emmaus to their tournament and then chose to play them. They get rocked by Maranatha Baptist when they play their NCCAA circuit. They must have been really hard up to fill that event.

Seeing the WIAC lineup today...

Emmaus Bible (IA) vs. UW-Eau Claire (at Platteville)
Goshen (IN) at UW-Platteville
Edgewood vs. UW-La Crosse (at Wisconsin Dells, WI)
Ripon vs, UW-Oshkosh (at Wisconsin Dells, WI)
St. Scholastica (MN) vs. UW-Stout (at Bethel, MN)

So the Platteville tournament isn't a tournament, it's a classic, and another WIAC school (UWEC) IS there.

But you're right, the competition isn't great...

Apparently if you go to Goshen, though, you can meet Henry, Sarah, or Kayla: http://www.goshen.edu/

... That being said, Goshen is an NAIA program... who is 5-0 and has topped the century mark twice: http://www.goleafs.net/schedule/0/1.php  But this is the first time they'll be on the road.

Their 5 starters all score at least 9.8 per game or better, though they don't have hardly any production off of the bench. This one looks like it will be a little more challenging.

Oshkosh got rocked by SNC tonight. SNC is a good team this year and could make some noise nationally but that is no excuse for this Titans team to lose by such a wide margin.
Better get used to it....  There is less talent on this year's UWO roster than last year, and we all know how last year ended....

This is true.

RF over North Central 89-69. Five in double figures led by Smith with 20. RF shot 50% from three range, 50% overall. Three starters, 3 off the bench in double figures. Falcons may be deeper than last year.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

That's the other North Central, of course ... the one in the Twin Cities.

No---3+3 does not equal 5! Two off the bench in double figures. Smith, White, Stanley + Berthene and Udo off bench.

The Edgewood v La Crosse game should be pretty good.

Ripon v Oshkosh should also be competitive.

More on Smith, Falcon soph guard:  8/12, 4/6 threes, 6 steals, 20 pts. Not bad for a first start. Udo off the bench:  10 rbds., 12 pts., in 13 minutes.
