For the second time in a week the WARHAWKS went on the road to face an undefeated WIAC team and for the second time emerged a winner defeating LaCrosse 64-52.  The WARHAWKS jumped on top with a 7-2 run to start the game.  The Eagles battled back and took a 13-12 lead after six minutes of play.  It was the Eagles only lead of the game as a Luke Knoble layup regained the lead for the WARHAWKS who built it to a high of nine on a dunk by KJ Evans before the Eagles closed the gap to four, 33-29, when the half ended.  After the two teams exchanged baskets to start the second half the WARHAWKS slowly built the lead to double figures, 47-37, at the twelve minute mark.  After that the lead remained in double figures ranging from ten to fourteen points throughout the remainder of the game.

Though the two teams combined for just 18 (11-WW, 7 LaX) turnovers the WARHAWKS held a significant advantage in points off of them at 21-8.  Fifteen offensive rebounds helped the WARHAWKS outscore the Eagles 16-8 on second chance points and 46-20 in the paint.

Knoble led the WARHAWKS with 17 points while Quardell Young chipped in with 11.  The WARHAWKS, led by Knoble's 8, outrebounded the Eagles 40-25.  Darnell Harris had a game high 3 assists.  Evans finished with a game high 3 steals.

The WARHAWKS host EauClaire Saturday.

I wouldn't mind seeing Harris get his shooting touch back. Since that monster game at Ill Wesleyan, he's now 0-8 from behind the arc in this last two games. 'Hawks are still winning, so I can't complain too much

RF loses 74-67 to a mediocre Viterbo team, one that would finish last in the WIAC. Smith, White, Z. Peterson, Udo finish w/15, 17, 15, 12 respectively. ;D

Thats's fine.  Those old fools wouldn't appreciate it anyway 8-)

The live stats were kind of slow updating when he had the ball.  :P

Hey you Pointer guys...any word on VanHandel's status?  How long is he out for?  If he does come back...will he be a contributor?

I heard on the radio during the Oshkosh game that he is back practicing.  The announcers made it sound like as soon as he gets back into game shape that he should be in the rotation.  He was impressive during preseason practices before he got hurt, so I would expect him to get some minutes.  I don't want to speculate on how much he contributes until we see him in the lineup though.

Stout beats Platteville 64 to 55.

Platt jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead in the first 4 minutes of the game and it was pretty much all Blue Devils the rest of the way. Oman leads all scorers with 23 points and 7 boards. Cross was 1 point shy of a double double with 9 points and 12 rebounds.

Oshkosh pulls away from RF for a 15 point win with the help of Nickel's huge offensive night.
LAX takes down Superior in yet another hard fought loss for superior.
Whitewater beats EC in another tough game. Wating for that upset to just happen already. Couldn't help but notice that D (one) Harris went 1-3 from the the field for just 5 points. Think he might be getting that shooting touch back  ::)
