Does Tyler even want to come back? Is he on course to graduate in 4 years? It a big commitment to come back to school fulltime just to play basketball.

I think that's a big yes. I don't want to speak for the guy... but he's a competitor. You can just see it in the way that he plays.

Assuming that he's able to recover from this injury (and given another 10 months, I think he certainly should be able to), I think we'll see him again next year.

This isn't "insider information" or anything like that... I just think that he's coming back.

Speaking as a former college basketball player, having it come to an end was extremely devastating to me. If I had the opportunity to play another year, regardless of financial hit, I would probably take it. That's how much it meant to me, personally. I think that most players who did play would feel the same way.

This is especially true in Tillema's situation. If he isn't able to play another game this season I would find it hard to believe that a player like him would want to end his career on the bench because of an injury. Again, this is just my opinion but if I were him I would sure as heck not want my career to end like that.

Doesn't he just have a sprained ankle?  He should be able to go if that's the case.  Point has legit shot at national title this year if he returns there's not a dominant team out there just like last year.  However I can see point being a lot better next year seeing they'd only lose one senior.

Greek Tragedy

I'm sorry, I didn't word that very well.

What I meant was, does he even want to come back if he's scheduled to graduate this year, being his 4th year.  I think it's a big commitment to go back to school for a full year, be a full-time student, with the main reason being to play basketball.

Sure, I'm guessing a lot of players want to come back and play.  But, school costs money and time.  Honestly, if I were scheduled to graduate this year and I knew I had an extra year of eligibility to play my chosen sport, I'm not sure if I would.

We look at it as a pure basketball decision...oh, I can get a medical redshirt and come back, ok!  But I think there's a lot more to the decision than just playing basketball.

I'm reading this as he has already chosen to get the medical redshirt.  Am I reading this wrong or are we assuming IF he does, he would come back.

This Point team right now is awful.  They do nothing on offense, just dribble around and then jack a shot up after awhile.  Their defense plays good for 20 seconds and then they just breakdown and someone gets open.

The way Gio, Ritchay and Heuer have played these past 2 games should see them on the bench if Point had anyone.

High ankle sprain... often times these can be worse than if bones are broken.

It's not something that anyone can "choose." It has to be applied for to the NCAA, and this is done after the season is done.
