That is the FBS requirement, not FCS.

You're right. Missed that distinction on my source.

Milwaukee would be insane to add football.  Its very expensive, and hard to make money at below the BCS level.
tell that to North Dakota State. If Wisconsiners didn't hate football, it would be a no-brainer to add football.

Milwaukee would be insane to add football.  Its very expensive, and hard to make money at below the BCS level.

But for tuition-driven schools, it brings in a LOT of paying customers (especially if, like many schools these days, you have a shortage of male students).

The tuition drive argument though works a lot better at Division III, where EVERYONE on the roster is a paying customer, instead of having 55+ scholarship players which cost money. Sure you can play non-scholarship FCS, but why bother starting a football team that will never contend for anything?

FCS also has minimum attendance requirements. FCS schools have to reach a minimum of 15,000 average home attendance in one out of every two years. Provided Milwaukee could even build a stadium that could hold that, does anyone really think they could draw that many?

It might...Milwaukee is the biggest market in Wisconsin, and there isn't a (scholarship offering) college football program with in 80 miles of it.

Ritchay went up for dunk in first half and landed awkwardly did not play in second half injury bug is destroying points chances of long postseason run.  On the bright side some younger guys are showing promise and it will only help for future.  Tillema did not look good even walking my guess is he's not returning.  I really like McCann he's going to be rock solid next three years.

Point has an entire week to heal up. It sounds like Dan Studer is potentially getting close to coming back and Ryf is out of the boot. Doesn't mean either will be back... but with a week off, it's possible.

It sounded like it was potentially something with Ritchay's heal... which is odd... but at least it's not an ankle or anything like that. So he may be back too.

We've all seen players get on a shooting streak of one kind or another. Question:  is a player who makes 6 consecutive free throws more likely to make a 7th than he would ordinarily be? Conversely, is a player who has missed his previous 6 free throws more likely to miss the 7th? Research provides an answer.

Let's hope Point does get some players back for the Stout game or it could be a very long night. Lack of a PG is very apparent right now with UWSP. No idea what happened at the FT line, the #2 FT shooting team in the country misses 12 of 'em?  It seemed as though there were more players on the bench in street clothes than uniforms so I'm hoping Ritchay can battle through what is likely a bruised heel. Point is lacking cohesion right now w/o Ryf at the helm, he's become a very important player in their scheme on both ends of the floor. Caught a glimpse of DeVon Jackson's brother after the game......he was using crutches too, so it's not just roster players that are injured, it's a curse  :P
