Why doubt it?  It may be a shock to some on this board, but essentially no D3 athletes will make a living playing their sport.  Academics are WAY more important.

I never said I "doubt" it.....  I said I don't believe it!!!  BIG difference!!!

When he makes comments to his now former teammates about why he isn't playing next year, it was only a matter of time until those comments get back to others...  Let's just say academics were not mentioned!!!

BTW-I was a D3 athlete for four years....  A day doesn't go by that I wish I would've played my fifth year....

Well OK then all I know is that was what I was told and what Juckem said when asked. I guess I just took it at face value and had no reason to believe otherwise. Also not studying investigative journalism good thing too I guess  ;)

What else can Juckem do, unless he seeks transfers?   Sad that a program can be depleted this badly in such a hotbed of talent.  Practice there will be really competitive.   :)

Per Mark Miller and Wishoops, Stout has picked up a nice transfer in Jimmy Whitehead (LaCrosse Aquinas / Mankato St). Should have just his senior year left at Stout.

havej

J Hoops - would Whitehead be Stout's primary ballhandler?

Any timeline for revealing a finalist?
Apparently Combs has been offered the job and has untill today to accept.
Life you lead is the life you teach!

palum

I wonder what Combs' motivation is he left P-ville apparently for the greener pastures of D-2 he hasn't lit the world on fire at Wayne St but he hasn't been a complete failure and seems to have the program going in the right direction.  Why come back to D-3 program that lives in the shadow of Marquette and UWM and UW-WW?
