That is who I was talking about and I'm pretty sure there are some hopes and expectations that he is a scoring guard like he was in high school and junior college. I would also say it is not fair to judge Sewer on one scrimmage. Sounds like a little frustration fredfalcon regarding what you saw from your Falcons.

Did the big 7 footer play for hamline?

I believe Tillema was named 2nd team preseason last year.

Frustration is right, JH, and I hope he's better than he showed vs. Hamline. The 7 footer played but did not start.

Chas Cross second team preseason All American.....http://www.d3hoops.com/awards/all-americans/men/preseason-2014

Except for injury prone nature, hard to not see Tillema on one of these teams.

I was thinking the same thing.

The D3hoops.com preseason All-America team is chosen from previous years' All-American and All-Region nominations.

I would guess that is why Tillema isn't on any of these teams.

Mr. Ypsi

I would guess that Tillema's absence is more just a wait-and-see attitude.  Who knows how he will be after such a long time away?  Fear not - he IS on all voters' radar, and if he has the season I'm anticipating, he'll certainly be on the post-season AA team.

He's certainly not in the same boat as a guy who comes out of nowhere and is never even noticed until February. ;)

Making the preseason team is an honor.  Making the post season team is better.  Chris Davis wasn't mentioned on the preseason team by the end of the year he not only was a first teamer but also the National Player of the Year.

Hey Tom.  Even more rare is a Tom D. sighting at a Pointer game! :) ;)  With frodotwo and tomt keeping us updated, I've semi-retired from posting.  I'll try to talk to swampgoon Saturday to see if we can pick up the pace a little bit this season.

Saying you are "semi-retired" from posting implies you posted on a regular basis in the past. We know thats not true!  ;D

Believe it or not, I will be in town for another event. My brother got married in the summer (no ceremony) and is having an informal social gathering to celebrate. I'm trying to decide how tacky it would be to attend for an hour, slip out for the game for two hours and then head back to the social gathering!  ??? Part 2 of that is trying to convince the wife its ok.  :-\

Well, seeing as it's your brother, I figure your dad's going to be at the get together...

But supposing he wasn't, and supposing he was still directing the band, you could just go "spend some time with your dad..."   :D
