Stout-Souptown games cancelled for tonight. The weather up here is frightful, and the postponement not so delightful.

Reschedule not done yet.  :P

Yeah. My people talked to his people and advised him not to play. They told him my fantasy team really sucks so he should rest up for the conference season because I'm going to need him to have a monster year. Stop wasting his energy on these nonconference opponents!  :P

You better tell your people to tell his people that if he wants to have that monster year for Stout (and your fantasy team), he is going to have to step up the intensity a tad.  Alex Oman is an outstanding talent but he does not play hard all the time.  If he continues to "play soft" guys like Hank Kujak (football QB) will take some of his minutes.  This could be a very competitive Stout team even with the loss of our best player (Jarvis Ragland). A guy like Jimmy Whitehead, (former Aquinas star) is going to make Stout decent.  He is going to be one of the better players in this league.  They play hard, they are unselfish, and if Ragland comes back 2nd semester, they could be a force.  It remains to be seen if they can compete with the big guys (SP, WW, and Platteville), but they have been fun to watch so far.

Will you be coming down for the women's game this weekend, SG?  Or are you staying home to work the men's game?

Not doing the Men's game here but plan to see it.  I am only doing a few high school games this winter and the Stout/EC doubleheaders.  With 6 grandkids now, the priorities change.  Plus we rented a house in Key West for a month this winter.

Semling just said in the pre-game that Tillema will be held out tonight...same with Forsythe...Apparently Tillema's ankle is a little sore.  Semling did say that if they needed him, he could play.

RF loses at Lax 80-52. Gresmer, White, Sewer score 13, 13, 10 respectively. Skogman, Zuiker, Schmidt score 15, 12, 11. for LaX. Biggest stat discrepancy:  Eagles shoot 58%, Falcons 38%. All other stats fairly even. Falcons 47% on f.t. did  not help.

Brian Carroll and I were at the game tonight in La Crosse.  It was a sloppy game for both teams and the refs.  But it was called equally incompetently both ways.

Point takes care of business on the road without Tillema with a 74-55 win over Eau Claire.

Watched the Wisconsin/Virginia game on DVR this AM.  Nice WIAC reference by Bruce Pearl during the halftime show, saying the game reminded him of a Platteville Point game from 30 years ago.
