So did the live stats at Superior get frozen?  I see the Stout stats still up, no Oshkosh stats or video available as advertised.  >:(

RF loses to Plat. 66-48. White leads all scorers w/18 for Falcons. Johnson w/16, Cross, Manning, Gerber all in double figures for Pioneers.

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

A somewhat listless La Crosse team outlasted an overmatched Blugold squad at Mitchell Hall tonight. The hot hand from 3 pt range was the key to victory, as is often the case for the Eagles. A young Eau Claire team was game, but lacking the overall experience of their hosts. UWL moves to 6-1 on the season.

What a game at Stout.  Alex Oman with 20, Jimmy Whitehead with 19, Kosloske and Jenny with 12 apiece.  Stout shot 58 percent from the floor and 46 percent from 3 pt range.  Hearn and Bryson had 15 each for the Warhawks.  Especially fun visiting during the game with former SP coaches Bob Parker and Jack Bennett.  They had some very nice things to say about Stout's play during this fun afternoon.   This is a good Stout team.  They may not win this conference, but it's a good bet that they will have a say in who does. Parker must read this message board because he mentioned in front of Jack that he was tired of my having nice things to say about Jack and Bob Semling but never anything about him.  I told him if I thought of anything nice I would post it.  Here it is:Bob has kept all of his hair after all these years although it is really white now :D

Greek Tragedy

Wasn' Bob Parker always white? Or am I thinking of a different Bob Parker...oh, wait, what...you meant his HAIR! Ok.... :P  ;D  ;)

I'll chime in on Bob Parker: he gave me a ride home once when I needed it! (It was very slippery out.)Of course, he's in the RF Athletic Hall of Fame, and will NOT be cheering for Stout next Wed. when they play the Falcons. And--it's when a team's riding high that they are most apt to have a fall, stoutguy!

See you in RF, stoutguy! And Bob Parker? I may need a ride again if we beat Stout. (It's supposed to be very slippery Wednesday.)

Sounds like you are making a prediction here.  Maybe need to place a wager with Stoutguy.  Perhaps an adult beverage?  Maybe that RF Hall of Fame guy could give us both a ride home if we have more than one.  I know he wouldn't be prone to have more than one. :D

And regarding Parker not cheering for Stout against RF,  old coaches can change.  For instance, Bennett was wearing a WW shirt at the Stout game yesterday in honor of his son coaching there.  Bet you Point guys never figured that would happen.  Blood is thicker than water.

Greek Tragedy

The question is, what will he be wearing Wednesday when Whitewater travels to Point.

Amherst went down today as well.  Stout up 8 with 4 to go.  Point looking at a #1 ranking.

Wooster is 32 points or so behind Point. They played just once while Wooster played twice...beating a team that received votes (Ohio Wes) and a ranked opponent in DePauw.

stoutguy--I'd be glad to buy you one, but you don't seem to hang around in town after games anymore. Will that change Wednesday?

I don't make predictions. On paper, Stout should win, but you never know. This is The WIAC.

Point will be #1. SP was closer to Amherst @ #1 than Wooster was to SP @ #2.

And neither Point nor Wooster did anything to REALLY suggest that Wooster should hop over Point.

So, on most ballots, Point was ahead of Wooster... and that will likely stay that way. There's a chance that some voters who, say, had 1. Amherst 2. Point 3. Wooster will just swap Point and Amherst and leave Wooster #3.
