Coach Miller is OUT for tonight's Point game. Pat, wishing you well and a speedy recovery!

Thought I read that somewhere before...

Cut Stormy some slack.  He doesn't read this much let alone listen to Hoopsville.

Two WARHAWKS recruits:

Jerry Ngobi - 6'1" guard from Janesville Craig HS.  Averaged 16.4 as a junior, 14.8 this year
Shane Waldon - 6'6" forward from Sun Priaire HS.  Averaging 9.2 this year

This is the Milwaukee paper report on Coach Miller.  Of course this paper never reports the truth on Benghazi or the IRS scandal, so I hope that there is some veracity here.

Bad for the team.

Dare I say...good for the refs?  :-X   ;)

He said the same thing on Hoopsville Sunday...

It was tongue-in-cheek, BW. I never have time to listen to Hoopsville either...I really wish I did. Besides, Dave's post was only a page back. It's not like it was 5 pages back or, heaven forbid, on the front page.  ???  ;)

It certainly creates an interesting dynamic with Nic Bennett taking over the job.  Coupled with Jack's appearance in the stands and you've got two Pointer legends wearing a different shade of purple.

And, at the very least, you could listen to the interview(s) that you wanted to.  Coach Miller's wasn't more than 10 or 15 minutes if I recall correctly.

There are a handful of guys who ya really can't miss. Mike Neer from Hobart is one. John Tauer from St. Thomas. If Owen Handy from Anderson is on again, I'd say him too. And Pat Miller is definitely on that list for me.

I, for one, miss being able to listen to the shows. Back before I had kids (heck, before I was out of college) I would listen quite frequently. It really gives a more well-rounded view of the whole scope of D-III basketball, not just our view of the world.

I grab portions of Hoopsville to learn a little more about D3 men's teams (sorry ladies, no offense) and it is informative (Thanks Dave), hence the knowledge about Coach Miller, who is my second favorite in the WIAC.

Now if I could just click on the front page link first instead of going right to the scoreboard  ::) ::) ::)

He wore purple and black in Point when Whitewater visites. No school emblems at all.  He did sit with the former Stevens Point AD though.

I imagine he won't be dressed in Whitewater apparel tonight.

Dear MR. McHugh, I want to personally apologize for not reading every word posted on D3Hoops. However, a person with your credentials could surely post something better than "::palm to forehead::". Your V-8 reference to my post lacks professionalism. Maybe you were just trying to be funny instead of insulting, I really do not care. I have not posted in 7 or 8 years because of a post like yours and will not post again. Good luck just the same.

Warhawks take down #1 Point tonight 81-76 in OT.

ShineTime

If there's ever a good loss for pointers this was it.  They showed championship resiliency fighting back from 16 down and basically blew it.  I don't believe this loss should drop them any lower than third in country and now they don't have to listen to the whole going undefeated thing.  Whitewater showed they are definitely a national championship contender but my guess is they'll have to win at point come tourney time which I can't envision happening.
