Titans moving up......5th seed?   :o
Doubt 7-9 in WIAC play gets them a #5 seed...  :o

Will catch Stout in next game for 5th.  It is possible.  Where are the walleyes biting?  I will be back this weekend.

That would be true if Osh wins that game.  Thing is, that is not going to happen! ;)

If there's ever a good loss for pointers this was it.  They showed championship resiliency fighting back from 16 down and basically blew it.  I don't believe this loss should drop them any lower than third in country and now they don't have to listen to the whole going undefeated thing. Whitewater showed they are definitely a national championship contender but my guess is  they'll have to win at point come tourney time which I can't envision happening.

...assuming Point wins the conference tourney. If UWW were to win it, UWW could be hosting that game in the big tourney. Right?

I think he's talking about the conference tournament '02.  Unless the unimaginable happens Point will win the conference's regular season championship and as the champion will draw the #1 seed and have home court throughout the conference tournament.  Assuming that both WHITEWATER and Point advance to the conference championship game we would have to play it in Point.  Unless I'm misunderstanding and he is assuming Point will host in the NCAA post season and that both teams will be in the same regional or would inevitably meet at some point.  That seems like a stretch at this point.

Regarding the WARHAWKS classic flops it's interesting to note that Coach Semling, who usually simply stands with folded arms on the sideline, was instructing his players to "hold your position" when the offensive player was backing them down so they could draw a charge.  From my vantage point that looked exactly what both WARHAWKS defenders in fact did until they were knocked over.   Whether that was incidental contact considering the way the game was being officiated is a matter for the officals to determine.  Is it incidental when it results in an offensive player gaining a clear advantage over the defensive player by knocking them down in the paint?

I meant conference tournament.  By no means am I saying whitewater can't win at point I just know how great point is at home.  Lets not forget that point had this game at whitewater and poor free throw shooting finally got them.  I'm hoping there's a way point and whitewater are in different regionals come the big dance.

True enough, but Whitewater also had a 16-point lead they blew (though it was near the end of the first half).

Another flop that wasn't called was when Hass made a spin move late in the game and Bryson flopped. Hass was so shocked that he was so wide open he missed an 8 foot shot. No foul called on that one.  The key to this game was the defense of Bryson on Hass, who rarely got open looks and got only 5 shots the entire game.

Wednesday was a well played and exciting battle between two of the best in Division Three with Point at Whitewater.  Point has not done well at the line all year and yes it finally cost them.  Never got Haas on track and as always, were out quicked by the Hawks.  Regarding the flops, I hate them and can't figure out why officials get fooled by it.  It is pretty obvious when a guy flops and Hearn had the biggest flop of the night when Richard barely touched him.  Reggie got away with one and he knows it.  Some might say good move as it cost the opposition a possession.  I don't like it.  I thought Blum was a better official than to get suckered in on those but alas, I was wrong.  Oh well, I'll have to hope Point doesn't fall into some funk and end up giving the title away.  I don't expect that to happen but stranger things have.

AppletonRocks,
Just so that you understand that I do not completely have blinders on, I realize Osh can beat Stout and I also realize that Stout plays their last 3 regular season games on the road against Platteville, LX, and SP.  No easy task, for sure.

Never would have thought you had blinders on, stoutguy.  You aren't from the CCIW.  Realists come from the WSUC/WIAC.

Yeah, $8 is pretty pricey. Point charges $6. You can get into the women's game and pay a double header price of $10.
