Yeah, $8 is pretty pricey. Point charges $6. You can get into the women's game and pay a double header price of $10.

He means to watch the game online.

Whitewater charges $8 for admission, but the online is free.

Live ticket at Kolf is $9.  I think they should charge less. A lot less. And sell a season pass.  Maybe they do but the Athletic Dept there is being neutered by that Vice Chancellor woman who made sure they fired the baseball coach this past summer too.  Eventually she will tear down Kolf.  >:(

Stoutguy--can Stout afford to fix the hole in the floor where Royston just got pile drived  by Townsend? By the way, no call.  >:(

As your announcer said, tough to get a call on the road.  That was ridiculous.  Don't know what would have happened but the game was in the balance.  Disappointed in the WIAC refs again, what a shock.

Why is it that every time Stout plays at home, someone on the board asks me to react to bad officiating?  I watched a very intense, well played defensive game by two teams fighting for their playoff lives. The officials let them play on both ends.  I was very impressed with Oshkosh.  They play hard, smart, and could  be a factor in the tournament, although I'm betting they will open at SP.  They did not lose this game because of the officials.  They lost it because they got out rebounded, missed two bunnies near the end of the game, and attempted 19 3 point shots and made 3.  A great game to watch as Osh biggest lead was 3 and Stout's biggest lead was 5.  Schebel led Osh with 16 and Oman led Stout with 18.  Aaron Jenny did not play because of illness.

How would Osh open the tournament at SP?  You think SP is dropping to 3rd?

No, I was thinking Osh may stay 6th.  Won't 1 play 6?

Dear Titan2000 A-Rock,

Funny, stoutguy and I both thought it was a well officiated game.  :o.

I can see Oshy winning more games. They play hard.

Funny that you would mention that Oshy baseball coach getting fired.  I watched him treat his baseball players like crap for many years and wondered if anyone would have the guts to fire him being that he won a ton of games.  And as far as tearing down Kolf, I also don't think that is a bad idea.  Not a great place to watch or play a basketball game in my opinion, but I wasn't there this year.  Maybe it is better now.

They've poured $4.4 million over the last decade, $1.4 million just a year and a half ago. There's lots more to the facility than just basketball.

Quote
"The Kolf field house is one of the most heavily used facilities on our campus," said Darryl Sims, UW Oshkosh athletics director, who believes the renovations were much-needed and will bring great additional value to UW Oshkosh."

These days, the facility is not only used for sporting events such as track and field, wrestling, volleyball and gymnastics, but it's also used annually for UW Oshkosh's commencement ceremonies, high school graduations and other public events. It has been host to Bob Dylan, then-Senator Barack Obama and annual Special Olympics State Indoor sports tournaments.

Notice they didn't even SAY basketball.

I think there's more of a chance she'll just close down the program altogether than to tear down such a multi-functional building.

I was kidding about tearing down Kolf but not about the baseball coach.  Also, perhaps the fact that basketball wasn't mentioned tells you where the program rates.  In most cases, the more multi-funtional a building is, the less basketball friendly it is.

I'll grant that, though Quandt is pretty multi-functional (and very basketball friendly).

Which is exactly my point.  And why doesn't Shirley play in your basketball friendly and multi-functional facility?  Because she has a wonderful, cozy little home court advantage that she can call her own.  The people who make the decisions at Point really put the emphasis on their basketball and it shows with their crowds and their passion.  In the past anyway, at Oshkosh, I have never gotten the feeling that the basketball programs were that high of a priority.  It seems like both men's and women's programs  are now in high gear and maybe that emphasis will (or already has) changed.
