Quardell Young's game winning layup was #10 on ESPN's top 10 plays last night.

How tall is that kid?  Two steps from the three point line to get a lay-up is a pretty long stride.

I have to admit that I wasn't sure 3.9 seconds was enough time to get it done.  Great job by Q for getting it done. It was an incredible weekend for the WARHAWKS.

Wasn't there 4.8 seconds on the clock?

Yes... 4.8 seconds remaining...

It was actually #3 the night of the game!

Roster says 6' but I'm not sure I believe it.

Yeah... don't think so. I'm 6-2 and he wasn't that close to my height. It is always the test I give while at the Salem Civic Center... do some walk-bys to test the real heights LOL.

It was #1 in WARHAWKLAND

I'd say somewhere between 5'10" and 6' is probably spot on.

And that's not just a sentimental thought. It was literally #1 on SportsCenter's Top 10 that night. I even DVR'd it! :)  I never really thought about it before, but could SportsCenter regionalize their Top 10?

Yep, it was #1 when I saw it too. I must have stopped and rewatched it 10 times.

I haven't heard of point getting anyone yet other than a kid from valders.  Anyone know if their getting any junior college transfers?  I'm guessing lutz and pelkofer will be relied on heavily next year.  Too bad Dan studer didn't stick it out at point but on the other hand good for him for setting his goal high and making milwaukees roster.  It would appear no one as of this moment is within 20 points of whitewater if the war hawks are on their game based on what they return.  I think point will be better than people think but they could have a down year also kind of like the pointer women did this year.  It's hard to stay at the top forever in the Wiac making what whitewater has done in football even more impressive.
GOTTA LOVE ACT 10

So going up in divisions you have to sit out a year but going from D1 to D3 you don't have to? That sounds backwards. Or did Heuer sit out a year? I can't remember.  ??? I think I read that Evans sat out two years ago when Whitewater won it, so I guess it goes both ways.

That is correct - going up from D2 to D1 or D3 to D1 you have to sit out a year.  Whereas you can drop down divsions without sitting a year.

I think this is done to keep lower levels from becoming minor league system to the D1 powerhouses.  Wouldn't UW love to place a player or two at UW-Platteville.  Have them play a lot and then "bring them up" the following season?

I can't see this being a big problem.  They obviously wouldn't get a scholarship while playing at Platteville and if they were good enough to be close to a D1 scholarship at a powerhouse, they surely have mid-major offers.  The guy without any D1 offers that's looking to move up after a year of D3 is probably not going to suddenly get promises of starting jobs at the D1 level.  He'll probably find his chances of playing professionally are pretty even since he's going to get more playing time at D3

UWW highlights Championship Game

I take it that Bryson 3 was the shot that put UWW up one, before William's tip in with 4.8 seconds?
