Whitewater stays at #3.

Point drops to #23 while the team that just smoked them jumps to #22. This should have been where Point started the season, though it could be argued they shouldn't have been ranked in the 1st place, IMO.

Would have been a good game if that team stuck with playing UWW two weeks ago.

That whole travesty seems to make even less sense given that NCC seems to be a decent team!

More than decent... they're well coached and NCC always excels in the interior. That's where Point is really lacking this season.

Lets just say NCC could have handled the situation a lot better on their end.

There was a verbal understanding we would play NCC when the contract was entered into.  Unfortunately the contracts don't specify which teams you will play.  We didn't find out that we were playing Trinity until the videos were sent to our staff.   We already had played Cardinal Stritch so it doesn't do us any good to play another nonDIII program.

Per "popular" request, I will post my predictions here...

Stout at La Crosse - LaCrosse has kind of been a puzzler for me. I know Platteville is very talented, but I fully thought the Eagles would win out. So now enter the Blue Devils... I'm confident the young Devils will pick up a win or two they shouldn't, but I don't believe this is the one. They always struggle at Mitchell, and don't have the firepower in this one. I'll take the Eagles by 15.
Superior at Stevens Point - It's tough picking against Superior two games in a row, because I think they'll have a decent season. However, the Pointers are tough at home and defensively will match up fine with them. I think that Superior has enough firepower to keep it a game, but Point should still win by 12.
River Falls at Eau Claire - On paper, the best matchup of the weekend. I'm going to make no bones about it, I think that River is a top 3 team, at least at this point. Someone else mentioned that Erickson is the best PG not named Young in the league, and that is as spot-on as anything else I've heard to this point. Christensen is a really tough matchup defensively, and Goodwin is a nice low-post player. Eau Claire is scrappy and will pick up some wins, but I have this one in favor of the visitors by 15+.
Platteville at Whitewater - Platteville is always solid, Gard and his staff have a great system and get some fine players, and this year is no exception. I will likely pick Platteville to be the one blemish on the Warhawks record, but that will come in Platteville and the friendly confines of Bo Ryan Court. Young and Evans are the best 1-2 punch this year, and Young will go over 1k points during the first few minutes of Saturday's game. I don't think this will be a tight one, and going to go with the 'Hawks by 12.

Oshkosh at Bethany Lutheran - I don't see this being much of a game. Bethany got beat by a Stout team on Wednesday, and I'm certain will meet the same fate by their next WIAC opponent. I think they will surprise a team or two.

I won't make any Massey comments, as I clearly don't understand how that site works!!!

WARHAWKS: 78
Titans: 59

The Titans last lead was at the fifteen minute mark when Xzavier Moananu hit a three pointer giving the WARHAWKS a lead, 9-8, they would not surrender.  The lead remained in single digits until KJ Evans hit a pair of free throws making, 40-29, with a minute remaining in the half.  A basket by the Titans to close out the half cut the lead to nine.  Evans led all scorers with 14 points.  The WARHAWKS lead remained in single digits and reached a low of three points, 49-46, at the 12:30 mark.    Steve Egan's layup with seven and half minutes pushed the lead double figures 65-55.   The WARHAWKS largest lead was reached with the final score.

KJ Evans: 23 points, 8 rebounds
Quardell Young: 16 points, 7 assists, 6 steals
Xzavier Moananu: 13 points, 6 rebounds
Ron Patten: 12 points, 6 rebounds in 18 minutes
Steve Egan: 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks

WARHAWKS shoot 52% including 8-17 three pointers, outrebound Titans 37-21

Eau Claire 50 at Stevens Point 64

It took Point awhile to get going as they only had one point more than 4 1/2 minutes into the game. In the last 9+ minutes of the half, the hosts went on a 17-8 run to lead 29-21 at the break. The Pointers slowly built their lead to 15 around the 13-minute mark, but six minutes later is was down to 5 at 46-41. Point got it back up to double-digits at 55-45 with 5 minutes to play and the visitors would get no closer.

Alex Richard had a monster game for the winners, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Pelkofer chipped in with 17 including three 3s. Ritchay scored just six points, but had 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals before fouling out. Eric Effertz lead Eau Claire with 10 points, the only Blugold in double-figures. Lewis Mau had 9 points and 7 rebounds.

River Falls 90 at Superior 79

River Falls pulled away for the road win after leading just 41-40 at halftime.  The 1st half was close throughout with neither team leading by more than 5 points. The visitors never relinquished the lead after intermission, building it up to 10 halfway through the 2nd half.

Jon Christensen introduced himself to league play with 27 points (5-3s), 4 rebounds and 6 assists.  Grant Erickson had 16 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. River Falls shot a scorching 57.4%. Johnquez Brooks once again came off the bench (31 mins) and lead Superior with 24 and 4 and 7 assists. Lindblom had 17, while Schradle and Ketz each chipped in 13. Superior did hit 13 of 24 three-pointers.

Whitewater 78 at Oshkosh 59

The Warhawks held off a pesky Titans team and pulled away late for the win. Whitewater got the lead for good 5 1/2 minutes into the game and never looked back. They lead 40-31 at halftime and though Oshkosh cut that lead to four on several occasions in the 2nd half, Whitewater was able to get it to double-digits at 65-55 with just under 7 minutes to go and cruised from there.

Not surprisingly,  KJ Evans lead the Warhawks with 23 and 8. Quardell Young had 16 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. Egan contributed 10 and 8. Patten and Moananu both came in off the bench and chip in 12 and 13 points, respectively,  while each also grabbed 6 boards. Oshkosh was lead by Mueller's 18 and Alex Olson's 16, but both coughed it up 5 times each. Taylor Jansen, not Sean Dwyer,  was the spark off the bench with 12 points.

Platteville 57 at La Crosse 56

In the best game of the night, the Pioneers held off the Eagles for the nice road victory.  Platteville built a 10-point lead midway through the 1st half and it got to 11 at 26-15 with 6 1/2 to go before the break. However,  La Crosse went on a 13-3 run to end the half and was just a point behind at halftime.  It was more of the same after the break as Platteville would build a little lead only for La Crosse to cut into it. Jared Staege cut it to 57-56 with just under a minite to play. Things then got hairy as Jim Stocki missed two free throws after a La Crosse miss and then Jake Manning failed on both his free throws with 2 seconds to go. Zuiker missed a 3 at the buzzer for the possible miracle win. In the end, Platteville missed 8 free throws.

Stocki finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds bit missed 5 free throws. Matt Oestreich had a nice game with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.  Manning had 11 and 6, while Boston Johnson was held to just 9 on 4-12 shooting. Zuiker and Cameron were held to a combined 18 points and 4 rebounds on 6-20 shooting. Jared Staege had a nice game off the bench, scoring 10 points and adding 6 boards. Kenny Finco contributed 7 points and 7 rebounds off the bench as well.

Hoop n Golf. Welcome!  I enjoy reading your predictions, but a few comments...

I don't find it at all tough picking against Superior two games in a row...even if both were at home. I think there ised to be a fallacy that it was tough to go up there and win. I don't think any road win should be taken for granted,  but I don't think its tougher simply because its in Canada.

You also mentioned that the River Falls at Eau Claire is the best matchup on paper, yet you have them winning by the most. Interesting.
