Sorry by MM I meant mid-major.

The best college basketball coaching guy in the nation........www.hoopdirt.com......not the best site everyone knows that is www.d3hoops.com

My guess is once those guys see salary limitations for themselves, and assistants, as well as looming budgetary issues, some of those guys will stay away.

Tim Buckley made almost 300K last year at IU - http://www.indystar.com/story/money/2014/07/09/interactive-public-university-coach-salaries/12364057/
(however he may want to get out of Bloomington on his own terms)

Sanchez might have backing of his boss who was a pretty good player at GB, but I bet dad back's his former PG.

Still think the D3 guys in Wisconsin will be involved on this one.

The difference though is this job can be a stepping stone job ... Kowalczyk and Wardle have used this to get jobs in the MAC and MVC which in turn, if they are successful there, could lead to even bigger things.

There are a thousand guys who would be willing to step into a low paying D1 assistant's job.

I don't think Gard goes for this job.

I think Semling, Grezch and Miller do.

Hoopdirt does a great job ... I read it often this time of year.

Well, according to public records, Semling makes about 68k a year compared to Wardle's 135k. That's a nice pay raise. Does Semling want a new challenge? 10 years as a head coach had brought him 2 National Championships,  6 conference titles, 5 conference COTYs and two National COTYs. Obviously I hope he stays, but I won't blame him for leaving.

Would be hard to blame anyone for getting off the sinking Tom Crean ship.  :o :o

A little tidbit on UWSP point guard commit Robby Nardini....elite company for him to be with, looking forward to him wearing purple and gold.

Greek Tragedy

There's been no progress of the re-airing of the Championship game. CBS Sports claims they don't have a copy of the game (which I find hard to believe) and I need to talk to my cable provider. Charter claims they don't have any control over what networks air. The rep said check VOD, which of course they have no control over either. I haven't checked VOD yet. So if someone wants to amuse themselves...

Interesting he's the only one that didn't sign with a D1 school, let alone any scholarship school.

Thanks for looking into it GT, sounds like it was a hassle.

I certainly have no behind the scenes knowledge on his recruitment, but I'd be willing to bet his size has something to do with him not going to a scholarship school.
