Looks like some talented all the way around. After googling a handful of these recruits it looks as if UWW, UWSP and UWP certainly did a great job of filling needs.

My predicted order of finish after seeing the incoming players:
1. Oshkosh
2. Whitewater
3. River Falls
4. Stevens Point
5. Platteville
6. Eau Claire
7. Lacrosse
8. Stout

Go ahead...I know what everyone is going to say, Stevens Point will not finish #4. I actually thought about dropping them down to #5...
It's that time of year!!!

That very well could be.  I went by the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook rosters, and if they didn't mention the transfer in their season overview...I didn't include them in their newcomers due to me not having their last years' roster memorized.

No problem! I appreciate your efforts! Nice to see a list of incoming players. I'm still waiting for the Pointers' press release of this year's recruiting class. I don't think I I will make Wednesday's Purple/Gold game.

I wasn't planning on going to the Purple/Gold game initially, until I saw they were handing out their National Championship rings that night.  So, as of now, I'll be there but things can change.

Any reason rosters are so.....slow...... in getting posted?

Because no player spends any eligibility until the first game is played, so team's take their time figuring out who is going to be on the roster, who is going to be cut with the hope that they keep working out and trying again next year, and who is going to be cut outright.

Also, basketball coaches are paranoid about everything.

Wow. Pat Miller does it again!

Not only does he bring in a solid freshman class (I'm only assuming that), Coach Miller brings in a ready-made, college experienced group of kids to contend for another title. I've never been sure what to think of his tactics, knowing obviously that they are within the guidelines of college recruiting. On one hand, I applaud the guy for consistently recruiting top players, both from high school and from other programs and on the other hand I curse the guy for being so good at it! To be fair, they are from Community Colleges, not like he's "stealing" players from other 4-year institutions. I also commend Pat for giving some players an opportunity of a 2nd chance where things may not have worked out elsewhere. In addition, a lot of these kids are given the chance to "come back home" as some are from the area and most are from the state.

I mean, look at the transfers he's brought in. I'm not talking impact players, I'm talking All-Conference, All-American, National Player of the Year-type players in KJ Evans, Reggie Hearn, Chris Davis, Goodwin and McKay. Wow.

While many teams build through the draft (high schools), Whitewater seems to build through free agency (transfers ). I understand most teams still add a transfer or two, but Miller might even focus on transfers, especially this year. It's  almost like he recruits players out of high school but tells them to come back in a year or two when they are awesome (I say that tongue in cheek, of course).

Jealous isn't the word. Envy, probably not. Just a tremendous compliment to Coach Miller on how well he builds a team every year. I do understand he has had good players that have been there for all four or five years, so I don't  want to take away from that. I was only focusing on his transfer habits.

Ironic how this is coming from  a fan whose team also wins championships on a regular basis (and National ones too once in awhile). I guess when the Pointers do, it means a little more to hear the players feel proud of being a part of the program for 4-5 years and finishing with a National Championship.

I might rub some people the wrong way (especially the Whitewater fans), and I apologize for that. I'm not trying to say it's the wrong way, it's just a different way that obviously works..and again, I applaud (and hate  >:(  ;D ) Coach Miller for being so successful at it.

Right or wrong aside I think this year was probably a matter of necessity as much as anything else.  Yes, we do get our fair share of transfers but this year the numbers are an exception to the rule rather than the rule.  Some of transfers tend to be the more high profile type player but typically the bulk of the roster are players we've recruited out of high school.  For every Evans there's a Bryson, Egan, Meng and Young.
