Don't know how many members are interested in Callahan Skogman's theatrical pursuits, but I saw in today's paper that UWL is mounting a production of A Streetcar Named Desire with him playing Stanley Kowalski.  A meaty role.

Ohio Northern: 73
WARHAWKS: 93

Ohio Northern opened the scoring and held a single digit lead for the first seven and half minutes.  At that point Trinson White tied the score 14-14 with a pair of free throws.  When White followed that with a layup the WARHAWKS took the lead and maintained it in a single figures until Jerry Nigobi scored inside at the two minute mark to make the score 37-27.  The lead reached fourteen but Ohio Northern's three-pointer just before the half ended made the score 43-22.  White (14) and Nigobi (11) each scored in double figures for the WARHAWKS who shot 50% as a team.   The lead remained in double figures for all but one occasion in the second half.  Ohio Northern cut it to eight 53-45 with a three-pointer after seven minutes but Maruquis Turner answered that with a three-pointer pushing it back into double figures for good and it reached a high of twenty three just before the game ended.  The WARHAWKS out rebounded Ohio Northern 45-28.  White finished with  double-double game highs 19 points, 14 rebounds and led the team with 5 assists.  Nigobi (17), Turner (11), Tyler Edmundson (12), Ethan Guske (11) and Drew Bryson (11) completed a group of six WARHAWKS who scored in double figures.

Thanks to a 10-0 streak, the WIAC is now 21-15

Stevens Point 3-1
After losing to #16 Hope, Point rallies in the 2nd half to top MWC power St. Norbert. The Pointers travel to #1 Augustana on Saturday.

Whitewater 3-1
The Warhawks have had it easy with comfotable wins over Finlandia and Ohio Northern. Huge test Wednesday as they host #1 Augustana before traveling to Beloit this weekend.

Platteville 4-2
After a 2 pt win at Luther and a win vs Coe, Platteville is now 4-2. The Pioneers have a battle this week as they host North Central  (IL).

River Falls 3-2
The Falcons have won 3 in a row after impressive wins over Minnesota - Crookston and at St. Olaf. They play host to Hamline this weekend.

Eau Claire 3-2
The Blugolds earned a nice victory over Concordia  (WI), who beat River Falls, and then cruised to a win at Northland. Eau Claire gets a IIAC double-header this weekend with games vs Buena Vista and Wartburg.

Oshkosh 2-2
After opening the season with 2 losses, the Titans have won 2 in a row against NACC opponents Wisconsin Lutheran and Edgewood. Oshkosh should add to their win total this week with a game vs Viterbo.

La Crosse 2-3
The Eagles topped Viterbo last week to end a 2-game slide. This week they pretend to be a member of the IIAC as play Loras, Coe and Central this week.

Stout 1-2
Stout finally got on the board with their first win, topping Bethany Lutheran. It's a busy week for the Blue Devils with games at Superio, vs Ashford and vs Buena Vista.

Chmarx--it's always good to see athletes who are involved in other, non-athletic extra curricular pursuits. Congrats to the young man!

Curious to know about Devin Yurk. Listed as a junior, he's really doing well for himself at La Crosse. It doesn't look like he's been on their roster in previous years, but I couldn't find him on a 2-year UW school or anywhere else.

From Sheboygan North and a pretty big conference, 2 time All Conference, 2 time All State, led the league in scoring and was POTY his junior year. A profile I found only shows him committing to La Crosse.

His bio on the LaX website doesn't state that he was anywhere else. Maybe he was just focusing on academics or had to work to put himself through school... or any other number of valid reasons why he didn't play.

He was recruited by UWL, but played intramurals his first two years there...

Can Kowalski rebound?  The Indians need that.  ::)

Anyone who has an update on the Whitewater OT victory over Beloit, I'd love the hear it.  Cole VanSchyndl with 29, plus 2 technical fouls on the WW bench per the box score.  Did Miller finally get caught for his boorish behavior?  :o

With all due respect to Beloit, they lost to a struggling Lawrence team a few days back.

Have the Whitewater players learned each other's names yet?  All these illustrious D2 and D1 transfers should be doing better than this, I would surmise.  ???

Fill us in--I am sure all you UWW fans had nothing else going on today.  ;)
