Interesting game in RF Wednesday, Dec. 10, when Carleton visits RF. Carleton has already beaten SJU and UST, and are 2-0 in conference play, 4-2 overall. They were picked to finish in lower half of MIAC, but won at UST Dec. 5. So they have beaten the top two pre-season MIAC picks already. And, as of today, not a word about the UST/Carleton game on MIAC board.

I was wrong about the 8 rebounds that Christensen had; it was 14. 40 points and 14 rebounds amounts to probably the most outstanding dbl/dbl we'll see this season in the league.

Hey BW,

Is Andre Brown hurt? Saw he only played 3 minutes. Serious injury?

I don't know for certain but Nigobi has been playing decently and getting some of his minutes.

With all due respect to Beloit, they lost to a struggling Lawrence team a few days back.

So we lose by 23 at the unanimous #1 ranked team... and fall two spots.... but GAIN 10 poll points in the process?   ??? ???  ::) ::)

There were also 100 or so other games affecting the rankings other than that one. Rankings never function in a vacuum.

John is smart enough to know that, guessing a tongue-in-cheek comment. There are fans out there that complain about beating a team yet they are ranked below them. Yeah, you definitely have to look around you to see what else is happening!

Point has looked awesome down in Illinois against North Central thus far...down 26-18 at half...offensive onslaught

Thus far, this team has been extremely underwhelming on the offensive end.

I was being sarcastic.  This team does nothing well right now.  It's hard to watch them attempt to play offense.  It's something when you can get open looks and just not hit shots, this team doesn't even get open looks.

After leading 33-28 at half, RF lost to a good Carleton team 75-61. Carleton shot 54%, overall, 74% second half on the strength of Grow's 26 pts., 12 rbds. He hit on 13/16 shots, all within 6 feet. Carleton was able to get the ball inside to him repeatedly in the second half.

Christiansen led RF w/21, followed by Pearson and Lewis w/17,16.

tom,

Is it at all possible that UWSP's lowly 27.6 shooting percentage was due, even slightly, to North Central either closing off the passing lanes, playing tight switching defense, or both? Or was the Pointers poor performance tonight merely due to their inability to shoot the ball very well?
