Sometime this year you will hear the "woe is me"  St Norbert as a refugee story as they need to practice off campus and play off campus due to the reconstruction of the Schuldes Center into the Mulva Center.  Don't buy it.  :o :o
You won't hear anyone from St. Norbert complaining this year. The coaching staff is too busy recruiting and coaching up their guys to worry about things that don't really matter.
Hmmm....  Maybe that's why they are so successful year after year under Coach Grzesk? :o

Didn't say you would hear it from Grzesk....plenty of others here who might be shocked to see a loss.  Recall 2015 Christmas tourney loss to Alma. There was wailing and gnashing of teeth as I recall.

That's no big surprise. The fan base is the same group who thinks Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy should be fired every time the Packers give up a first down or go three-and-out.

Then again, with long-term high performance comes high expectations. No one in DePere is going to throw a parade down College Avenue for just making the conference tournament these days like they would a half-hour to the south.

I think you are mistaken.  90% of the populace of Appleton has never set foot on the LU campus and has no desire to.  So a parade on College Ave. is out of the question.  And since I moved to Oconto, I can't comment on any major changes that will change that.

Who said anything about going the entire length of College Avenue? I'm sure a couple of celebratory laps around the College Avenue roundabout by the Banta Bowl would be enough to satisfy the basketball program's dwindling fan base.

Greek Tragedy

Wonder if LU can return the stands they put in at the beginning of the century to qualify for NCAA tourney hosting privileges and get some money back since they don't have to worry about hosting for awhile.  :'(  ???  ;D  :P

Stevens Point visits every other year and this year LU will be hosting Pointer Huber law night on November 26 for Bob Semling and his cell mates, assuming the NCAA follows through on its threats.  So the extra seats could be a need.  ;) ;)

La Crosse appears to have added yet another player to the mix, as senior Zach Schradle (6-5) has transferred from Superior.  Schradle averaged 22.2 ppg and 8.9 rpg for the Yellow Jackets last year.

EDIT-While some might question some of the opponents he put those numbers up against, take a look at what he did against WIAC competition last season:

UWSP-24 Points/9 Rebounds
UWRF-21 Points/7 Rebounds
UWS-33 Points/8 Rebounds

So 26 Points/8 Rebounds per game against three WIAC opponents would seem to be a nice pick-up for La Crosse.

He's clearly a talented player and this is a very good get for the Eagles.

I had added Schradle to the incoming players for La Crosse awhile back when I was posting WIAC schools' incoming recruits.  He's a big get for La Crosse and no doubt will be an All Conference player barring any injury.

I recall talking about this a little. We were discussing how "convenient" and coincidental it was that he's at Superior, Superior leaves the conference and then he transfers to La Crosse without any penalty because Superior isn't in the conference anymore.

Former Grafton standout Scotty Tyler has transferred from D1 Milwaukee to UW-Whitewater.  6'7" Post player.  Big get for Whitewater.

That's obviously why they left the conference.  He clearly orchestrated the whole thing to facilitate this penalty-less transfer.  I'm sure it's been years in the planning.  Well done, sir.

No, I'm all about getting conspiracy theories started.  We don't have enough of those in d3.  All we need now is a couple "sources say," quotes and we're good to go.

Ummm...

"Speaking on condition of anonymity, a former teammate at Clayton High school told me..."

"A WIAC opponent heard Schradle say, 'I'll be back in the WIAC next year'"...

"Last year, an unnamed Superior senior in 2014 found an email written to the WIAC by Schradle asking about the transfer policy for the conference..."

;D :D ;) :) :P ::)
