Should we just hand them the Walnut and Bronze now?

I hope that's being said with tongue firmly planted in cheek.  We've got a nice team and it has the potential to be pretty decent.  But like every team there are things we need to do better before we'll contend for a national championship.  I know our staff is working hard to get things in line and we're winning, though not always pretty, which is good because if we were losing to the teams we're playing I'd be worried.

Rongstad looks to be a nice addition.  Hopefully he can get on the same page as everyone else and be productive for us.

For the second time this year Chris Jones is the WIAC's Player of the Week.

Chris Jones (Milwaukee, Wis./Bradley Tech), Junior, Guard
Jones averaged 23 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game last week to help the Warhawks to a 3-0 record and remain undefeated for the 2016-17 season. He shot 51.2 percent from the floor, 50 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free-throw line for the week. In UW-Whitewater's 97-85 victory over Rockford on Thursday, Jones tallied 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting and added three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Two days later, he registered 18 points on 11-of-13 shooting from the free-throw line to go with five rebounds and two steals in the team's 80-64 victory over Kalamazoo (Mich.). Jones wrapped up the week with a 28-point, four-assist, two-steal effort in the Warhawks' 98-63 triumph over George Fox (Ore.) on Sunday.

Umm. So according to this site and Edgewood's site, Point's home game is Wednesday, Dec 21. According to Point's website, it's Thursday, December 22...I guess I'll try to go to both of them.

I noticed this in preseason, but decided to wait it out instead of screwing it up for someone. I guess it still hasn't been figured out. LOL

Well, I talked to my people and they talked to some other people. All three webites now have the game on Thursday, December 22.

Not that anyone noticed, but the Top 25 came out yesterday.

Eau Claire fropped only 1 spot from 10th to 11th with their loss to 8-1 Wartburg, now ranked 23rd. Wartburg also beat Oshkosh earlier this year.

Whitewater jumps in at #20, simply because their undefeated? Or is it because none of their D3 opponents have a winning record and a combined record of 13-33? Anyway, I digress.

River Falls checks in at 25.

Stevens Point received 3 votes.

And if he doesn't workout there are 12 other D-1 and D-2 players on Miller's speed dial.  ;)

You guys can laugh but no one is beating Whitewater after February I'll guarantee it.  Have you guys seen this kid play he will go down as top 5 ever in the WIAC.

Haha...OMG...I hope you're joking.  The WIAC has had numerous players with scholarships at the D1 and D2 level transfer in, this guy was a walk-on for Milwaukee who averaged about a minute played per contest.  I will not discredit Rongstad's ability as I absolutely believe he will be a good D3 player...but to say he's a top 5 player ever in one of the best D3 basketball conferences there is, is ridiculous.  Trinson White was a much bigger get for the Whitewater program and that just happened last season.

I know rankings mean basically nothing when it gets to college...but for comparison's sake, Rongstad was ranked below Point's own Luke Zuiker in Wisconsin's Player Rankings.

I think the "undefeated" and the "none of" pretty much go hand and hand.

If Rongstad couldn't cut it at UWM, what makes you think he'll be worth a poop at Whitewater?
Besides, with an undefeated record, why does UWW even need him?
After all, the Purple Gang could probably beat 4-6 Milwaukee, couldn't they?
