Lower half for sure. They have one non-losing season in conference in their last eight and one winning season overall (12-11) since 2006.

I'd say the bottom.

Massey has Augie with a 58% chance of winning with the score being 71-68 over Point. I don't think the score will be remotely close.

Point kept it close for about 9 minutes. Augie put the game away with a 20-3 run or something like that. Point for it to 11 with the 1st basket of the 2nd half, but I don't think they ever got closer...it was +20 a few times, never in doubt.

Well, it's time for the Pointers to put their big boy shorts on now. They are a semi-respectable 6-3. Their opponents' record in their wins is just 30-31, while their 3 losses have an opponents' combined record of 23-4. Their next 3 games have an opponents' combined record of 25-2. Point has fallen off the last 2 years, but moral victories should still not be a part of the Pointers' vocabulary. Their big win at BVU gave me hope that they've got some talent, but they absolutely got spanked vs Augustana. Wartburg and Whitman will be huge tests in Vegas, as will their conference opener vs River Falls at the turn of the calendar.

Well, that didn't go very well. Point falls 75-66. Point would keep it close and then be on the wrong end of an 8-0 or 10-0 run and found themselves down by 14 at half. It ballooned to 20 in the 2nd half before they rallied to within 5 with less than a minute to go. Wartburg hit their free throws to seal the win. I fear it could get real ugly real fast tonight against Whitman...

Former Carroll and Rice Lake standout guard, Ben Widdes, is transferring to UWEC.  He will be eligible to play this season.

After a 37-22 half time lead, RF beat St.Olaf 72-49 at Eau Claire. Herink had 19, Witt a dbl/dbl with 15 and 10 rebounds. RF had the advantage in most stat categories, including 8 turnovers to 19 for the Oles.  I think St. Olaf beat Point and Eau Claire earlier this season. I could look it up but too lazy.

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Greek Tragedy

Well, Point was losing by 17 at halftime to #1 Whitman. If they end up losing by a large margin, at least I can probably say it won't be the 165-87 scoreline that Loras is currently beating Macalester by.
