Not a recap...but WW was running a good set throughout the game that gave Point fits in the first half.  They used Brown's speed, they would screen for somebody at the top of the key and that player would go and ball screen for Brown and Brown would try and get into the lane, it was a logjam of 2 guys that Delmore struggled to get around.  Point started to switch in the second half and that seemed to work a lot better.

UWSP has seemed to turn the corner and keeps getting better, it's no coincidence that the turnaround in my mind came at the same time as O'Heron playing like an All-Conference player.  UWSP was too reliant on outside shooting I thought.

Very interesting conference race, will be fun to watch down the stretch.  I keep expecting Platteville to tumble, but it just hasn't happened.

I listened to the Jeff Gard Hoopsville interview from the weekend. I had forgotten the UWP has had the turnaround the year that they've had!

I highly recommend!

He had 15 off the bench against us.  He's pretty quick and his penetration into the lane gave us some problems.  He ended with four assists which he got feeding inside when he'd beaten his defender forcing another defender to step up and stop him.  Platteville shot well against us overall but it was bolstered by a bunch of shots in the lane and at the basket.  Shields did more than his fair share of creating that.

He certainly looks to be a good get for Gard and the Pioneers.

Dramatic flopper too.  Hit floor twice last night untouched for FT.  Bad officiating all night. Both ways.

Fixed it...for me.

What you described sounded like Hope and Hawkins. His quickness killed us.

Get over it. Flopping is part of the game at all levels now and officials do not decide basketball games. Boots makes that uncontested lay-up in the final minute last night and UWO, sorry "OshVegas", goes on to win that game you are singing a different tune.

He was hammered and Mr. Clean was unable to see it. Sorry reality bites.

Actually he was not even touched. Go back and watch the clip online (https://portal.stretchinternet.com/uwosh/portal.htm?eventId=387868&streamType=video)

So yes you are right, reality does bite. Cannot blame everything on poor officiating.

Bahahahahahaha...are you serious AppletonRocks??  How can you think there was a foul on Boots' layup attempt??  I just rewatched the play in question and as Hindsight said, never touched.  In fact, it was obvious he wasn't touched as I rewatched it.

Sheboygan Falls 6'3" G, JT Petrie, has committed to play basketball at Oshkosh.  Good get for Coach Juckem and a very good recruiting class so far including the 2 Illinois kids.

Platteville, Oshkosh and Whitewater will try to keep pace tonight with Stevens Point hosting River Falls as they battle the bottom 3 of La Crosse, Eau Claire and Stout.

Should be pretty easy, right? Platteville (7-2) is going for the sweep but only topped the Eagles 63-62 the last time out. Oshkosh (5-4) dropped one at Zorn earlier this year, 60-57. Whitewater (5-4) had no problem with Stout 69-55, but they now face a long trip to Stout. Point hammered River Falls 73-48, but I can virtually guarantee it won't be that easy at Quandt.

It's February so we have to start looking at Pool C bids with the 1st Regional Rankings coming out Wednesday. Point is just 14-6, but their SOS is significantly better than any other WIAC team. They still need to add some Ws to make their Pool C life a little safer. Platteville has the best overall record of the conference at 17-3 and their SOS is pretty good. In fact, they have the best chance at a Pool C bid right now. River Falls could be hurt by the fact they couldn't find a 25th game against a D3 opponent, but their SOS is actually better than Platteville's. Oshkosh's SOS isn't as good as Point's, River Falls' or Platteville's, but they do have a big win over Augustana in their pocket. Lastly, Whitewater's SOS is pretty bad, as usual and they'll need to string some wins together have have any shot down the road.

With the likes of Washington University, Augustana, Illinois Wesleyan all likely ahead of the WIAC teams in the 1st Regional Rankings on Wednesday, they have their work cut out for them.

Point will have a bunch of results vs regionally ranked opponents in the second ranking, which may improve their standing even if they're middle of the road at the moment.

And if Wash U wins the UAA regular season, they don't play a conference torment... So the won't matter in regional rankings for at large bids.
