Add in the vRRO comparison and it might help with these rankings. While last week's results will factor in, they aren't the be-all.

I haven't dived that deep into these, but I think the top four will remain the same... maybe even top four. The rest is going to depend on the vRRO in my opinion.

Man, that's a bold statement!  ;D :D :)

Yeah, I didn't go too deep in my process either. I didn't have time to go into the SOS or potential vRRO.

Whitworth may not even drop. They lost to #1 Whitman by 1. Point lost to higher-ranked Platteville on the road, they might not drop much, if at all.

Platteville up to #6. I wasn't that concerned with Point... they lost, they dropped a spot, as expected.

Oshkosh also up to #14, in large part because they didn't lose, which a lot of other teams can't say.

Oops. Sorry. Not feeling well today and clearly my brain isn't fully in gear. Meant top three will remain the same and maybe the top four.

2nd Regional Rankings come out tomorrow.

1. Wash U - won at Brandeis, won at NYU
2. Platteville - won v UWSP, won at UWEC
3. Augustana - won at NCC, won at Millikin
4. Stevens Point - lost at UWP, won v UWSt
5. IWU - lost v Wheaton, won v Carroll
6. Oshkosh - won at Whitewater, won v UWL
7. River Falls - lost at Stout, won v UWWW
8. NCC lost v Augustana

I'm guessing the top 3 will stay the same. Point should stay ahead of IWU as they both lost, though Point's loss was "better"?

Oshkosh could very well jump IWU, while River Falls should stay ahead of NCC. NCC's only game was a loss, but to a regionally ranked opponent.

Wheaton, who wasn't ranked last week got two wins, one big one on the road at IWU. Could they jump in over NCC or even River Falls? Maybe they jump to 7 and River Falls moves to 8 and NCC looking in from the outside.

1. Wash U
2. Platteville
3. Augustana
4. Oshkosh
5. Stevens Point
6. IWU
7. Wheaton
8. River Falls

Nailed it, Tom!

Thanks... except I didn't even think about Oshkosh jumping Point!

Point really needs tonight's game and, realistically, has to win this weekend and, presumably, their semi-final game (if they are one of the top 2 seeds) to have a real shot at a Pool C bid, in my opinion.

If UW-SP wins out except for the WIAC final, they would be something like 20-7 (.704) / .610 SOS / 3-6, which looks like a "lock" to me.  This suggests to me that the Pointers would be at least a bubble team if they fall a little short of that.

Well, they already have 7 losses.  ::)

Yes, they sure do, and 20-7 wouldn't be .704, either.  Apparently I need to stick to posting the auto-generated stuff instead of "freestyling" scenarios.

Let's try 19-8 (.704) / .610 SOS / and roughly 3-6 vRRO, which is still a lock.  (I predict that River Falls will drop out of the regional rankings next week, after a loss to Platteville, costing the Pointers two wins vRRO.)

Pointers win 77-70 over Oshkosh.  They shot really well in the first half and made enough shots and  free throws to hang on. Point had a 15 point lead with 13 minutes left; Oshkosh got it down to 5 twice, but could get no closer.

Greek Tragedy

Platteville 11-2 v River Falls
Stevens Point 11-2 at Eau Claire

Oshkosh 8-5 at Stout
River Falls 7-6 at Platteville
Whitewater 6-7 v La Crosse
La Crosse 4-9 at Whitewater
Eau Claire 3-10 v Stevens Point

Stout 2-11 Oshkosh

If Point and Platteville tie, Platteville wins tie breaker by going 1-1 vs Oshkosh
If Oshkosh and River Falls tie, Oshkosh wins the tie breaker by sweeping River Falls
If River Falls and Whitewater tie, River Falls wins the tie breaker by sweeping Whitewater
If La Crosse and Eau Claire tie, Eau Claire wins the tie breaker by beating Point on the last day.

I think...
