I'll remember this season as the season that might have been.  You just have to wonder what may have been different if Jones and Tyler had played.  But they didn't and we are what we are, a 16-10 team.  Not the worst thing but definitely below the bar we've set for ourselves and definitely below what I thought we could do even without those two.

At any rate good luck to those remaining.  We've got work to do.

Tough year for the Warhawks indeed. I think Platteville and Point really took everyone by surprise. Here's hoping the WIAC represents well in the Big Dance. Teams not named Point or Whitewater have failed miserably as of late.

2018 G/F Blake McCann (6-3) of Janesville Craig has committed to UW-Platteville. McCann is averaging 20.2 ppg for Craig this season.

Greek Tragedy

Point is up 30-28 over Oshkosh at the break.

River Falls is leading Platteville 35-30 with a minute to go before halftime.

For the loser of Point/Oshkosh, the good news may be that IWU also lost, ranked below the WIAC pair. According to the Pool C board, other bubble teams are also losing, so that can't hurt.

Point looks to hold on up 9 with 40 seconds to go.

Platteville has gone on a 4-0 run to go up 3 with 2:35 to go...

Wow. That Buckley 25-footer at the shot-clock buzzer was massive.

I think I'm coming to Point.

Darn it...game's on Sunday. Won't make it...unless I skip my son's roller skating birthday party.

RF led all game until about a minute left when Pville took their only lead by 2. Keller made a 3 at 56 seconds left to give RF 67-66 lead. Buckley made a 25 footer at 14 seconds for a 70-66 lead and Heidecker made a f.t. at 6 seconds for the last score. Herink had 18 and fouled out. Duax had 22 for Pioneers.

Platteville is a Pool C Lock.

Oshkosh is pretty strong too.

There's an outside chance that if River Falls beats Stevens Point, that the WIAC could get FOUR teams in the tournament (first time since 1997, I think).
