UWSP gets their recruiting class started, and it's a really good start.  Wrightstown wing Mayson Hazaert will play basketball for the Pionters.  He's having a big senior year and had a few D2 schools tracking him.  He is currently ranked 33rd on Wissports Senior Rankings and 45th on Prep Hoops.

Melvin Brown's 47 points against the Pioneers  last night broke the program's single game scoring record of 45 set by Scotty Tyler (vs Ripon) in 2016.  Brown was 18 of 26 including 4 of 4 from beyond the arc and 7 of 9 from the charity stripe.  Brown also pulled down 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

Where does Eric Burdett (sp?) rank? He had a game for ages back in the late 90's in the NCAA tournament against Platteville. I think it was at Platteville too.

The power of google and I answer my own question - he scored 43...and remember youngsters, that was against a Bo Ryan coached Platteville team.

Yeah, it seems likely that most UW campuses will be closed at some point today and tomorrow.

Point and Whitewater are in must-win situations for WIAC. standings purposes and, maybe more importantly, Pool C considerations.

Eau Claire further dents Whitewater's quest for a Pool C bid with a win at home after coming back from 10 down at halftime.

Regional rankings come out this week. I'm expecting Point to be behind Oshkosh, Augustana, La Crosse and NCC. It's going to be an up-hill battle. We'll be cheering for Oshkosh (except when we play them), Augustana, St. Thomas (in the west) and La Crosse to make us look better!

Is there a more enigmatic team in Division III than Platteville?
