I'm assuming it's going to be Point that he chooses.

That's an extremely slippery slope we are entering if we are assuming where any kid chooses based just on their final list.  If we could do that, based on who I assumed Point would win recruiting battles for when they were in the final 2-3 schools, their roster would look completely different and wouldn't be in such dire need of a talent infusion.

Kids who UWSP didn't close on after being one of their final 2-3 schools...

Drew Blair  UM-Duluth- after transferring from Northwest Missouri St, was hanging out with the team that whole offseason while back home in Stevens Point only to pick Duluth.

Tanner Brandt - Winona St
Seth Anderson - La Crosse
Austin Westra - La Crosse
Reed Miller - Minnesota-Crookston
Jacob Everson - Concordia St Paul
Noah Parcher - committed to Bryant & Stratton only to follow that coach to Northern Michigan
Eli Considine - Wheaton
Trevon Chislom - Whitewater
Brady Olson - Parkside
Gabe Krueger - UW Madison for school
Declan Ciurlik - Loras

All of these guys would help tremendously.

Cleaning my basement today and found 2004 and 2005 championship games on VHS. Also have the 2010 game on DVD. I posted the 2015 championship game on YouTube a long time ago. I actually do have a VHS player that works too.

Anyway, I did find the 1984 NAIA Championship game of Stevens Point v Fort Hayes St.

And yes, I was there too.

Would you happen to have a tape of the 1984 regional championship game that went three overtimes between UW-Whitewater and St. Norbert?

So, I'm not sure why...but recently I was thinking about the UW schools rotation of having an exhibition against Wisconsin at the Kohl Center.  I remember hearing back when this started that it was supposed to be on a rotating basis and all the WIAC along with Parkside would be included.  I looked back to see what the rotation looked like.

2019- La Crosse
2018- Oshkosh
2017- Stout
2016- Platteville
2015- River Falls
2014- Parkside
2013- Platteville
2012- Oshkosh
2011- Stevens Point
2010- La Crosse
2009- Superior
2008- Whitewater

As you can see, there is no rhyme or reason as to how the rotation goes.  Looking at this you would think UWSP would have the exhibition in the next couple years for sure, and that's why I looked at this, but who knows.  Eau Claire hasn't had the exhibition yet.  Anybody have more information on this than me??

Thanks. From all I've heard, that game was a classic. Too bad it is lost to the dustbin of history.

If I recall correctly Bo Ryan wanted to play his exhibition games  against a team with a system in place not a run and gun all-star team. Given Bo's history in the WIAC it was set up that each WIAC school would rotate starting with Platteville if the school wanted to. If memory serves me correct WW originally decided against playing in  the rotation but decided later on to join. In the year that the Gard's father passed away from brain cancer Platteville was bumped up and they called it the Garding Against Cancer game with the proceeds going to UW cancer research.  So WW joining late Platteville getting bumped up for the Garding Against Cancer and Superior leaving the conference has kinda screwed up the rotation. I don't recall Parkside being part of the rotation Coach Reigel played for and was an assistant at Platteville under Ryan that game may have been set up separately.

I wonder if that is any relation to former Winneconne High School football coach Roger Hoytink?
