For what it's worth, Schultz is no longer listed on the UWW roster.

Do you think any school in the country would keep him on the roster after that??  Not to mention, he admitted to it.  I don't think it's earth shattering news that Miller did the right thing and booted him from the team.

With that said, I saw in other articles that Schultz was kicked out of UWW.  So, maybe it wasn't even Miller's call here.

Of course not. Hence why I said "for what it's worth."

Hence why I asked, cuz it isn't worth anything.

After an investigation by local police Schultz has been charged with disorderly conduct.  He has left school.

I'm not sure of your source but neither Miller, the university or Schultz have made a public statement as to who's idea it was for him to leave school.   If you've seen one I'd appreciate a link so I could read it.  Thanks.

You're right, I've gone back at the articles I read and they don't specifically say whose idea it was for him to leave UWW.  I think it's a fair assumption that it wasn't Schultz's idea considering the chain of events though.  He was a student athlete when the assault happened.  The story comes out and it states he's no longer a student or affiliated with an athletic team.  That seems like a quick decision out of Schultz's hands.

The most likely scenario is Miller kicked him off the team while the University Administration kicked him out of school.  We will probably never find out the exact story here.

It was information pertinent to this room.

I think Coach Miller needs to do some better background checking into who he's recruiting.

Unless you can find something in the former student-athlete's background that is problematic, I consider this a very unfair public statement. If there is something in his past that was an indicator, please post it. If there were problems like this in the past, then I understand the viewpoint. But if there were not, it feels like a cheap shot. As we all know, coaches can't control the actions of student-athletes 24/7.

Well, there very well may not be red flags with Will Schultz prior to this.  There definitely is with Gage Malensek.

The actions of Schultz don't directly correlate to Malensek's background, but it certainly should be an eye opener to every coach and who they are recruiting.

I can state beyond any doubt that if Pat Miller had any inkling that Will Schultz was going to punch and harass women on our campus he never would have brought him here in the first place.   Gage Malensek is doing just fine.

Former Platteville star Aaron Lancaster has passed away.

I remember watching him play on Platteville's 1995 undefeated National Championship team. He was always in the right place at the right time which allowed him to guard players bigger than him. He still has Platteville's record for most consecutive free throws at 31.

6'6" Franklin F, Carter Capstran, has committed to Whitewater.  This is a very solid get for the Warhawk program, he's not overly athletic but excels with an abundance of post moves.
