UW-Whitewater roster is up a couple hours before tip and features a roster of 19.

I'm surprised teams are playing on election day, but alas the season is here and begins with four games tonight.

I didn't attend the game but find it weird that Winterfeldt and the big guy from Freedom didn't play. There actually were more guys I would've expected to be in the rotation not getting a single minute please tell me it's due to sickness or injury because I was beyond excited with the kids they had coming in. Defense looked bad second half and the offense just sputtered.

I couldn't tell for sure but I saw 3 ppl injured on the bench for Point.  Looked like Ruder, Sivley and Woelfer to me.

Greek Tragedy

Definitely a tough start. There were bright spots. They came out pretty well and were up 10 in the 1st half and even 51-41 in the 2nd half. But the wheels fell off, couldn't defend, couldn't rebound, couldn't even buy a shot. A lot of easy layups that were missed. Definitely a learning curve. Hopefully get the rotation straightened out. Size is going to be a problem. Ruder rolled his ankle earlier in the week, but the radio guys seemed pretty high on him. Webster is on Saturday. Yeshiva lost by single digits to #13 St. Joseph's CT tonight and IWU is really big and also ranked (#21st). One game at a time.

WARHAWKS opened the season with a 95-90 win over Augustana in Rock Island.  Newcomer Miles Barnstable and veteran Trevon Chislom each had 27 points to lead the way.  Jameer Barker added 14 and Nick Pierson chipped in with 10.  Tied, 42-42, at the half the WARHAWKS shot 68%, including 4-5 three pointers, and sank 19-24 free throws in the second stanza to pull away for the win.  Delvin Barnstable led the team in rebounding with 6 while Barker added 5 assists and 3 steals to his stat line.  Free throws were the difference here 28-36 vs 15-24.  Miles Barnstable went 15-16, the fifth highest total makes in program history.

I don't know much about Augustana other than they tend to be a solid program in their league.  Based on that this seems like a pretty decent win for the WARHAWKS.  On the road no less. The team travels to Tiffin Ohio for games with Heidelburg and Pitt-Bradford Friday and Saturday

Overway is as dominant a player you'll see two games into a freshman season. He's really good. It was a close game all the way through. Plamann missed two shots for a tie late; one free throw and one three under a minute to go.

But...that wasn't over and back. Calvin caught a late break and goes onto win 59-56.

Such a similar script for Lawrence two games in a row. Lead tight most of first half, one point game at half, lead early second. WIAC team gets a big lead, Lawrence closes it to make it a respectable final. Platteville downs Lawrence 82-71 in Superior. Pearson 27 points.

Henry Noone with a clutch corner three for La Crosse with the game tied at 74 with two minutes to go. La Crosse never looked backed. Sebert slipped to the basket the next time down the floor to up the La Crosse lead to five. La Crosse made enough free throws down the stretch to put it away 83-75 over Marietta.

Westra, Hannah, Noone stepping up to support Anderson. Good sign for the Eagles.

I was not impressed with VanderWal. Such a such a poor sport about calls not going Marietta's way. It led to a Technical Foul and rightfully so with him way on the court arguing at one point.

RF over Gusties at St. Peter, 62-58.  Unofficial totals:  Jedwabney w/ 20, Parker w/ 14, PAYNE W/10. Gusties had bad first half, better 2nd. RF had 39-27 lead at half. RF played no seniors, started one jr. All rest were sophomores.

I believe LU's all time leading scorer graduated last year. Also, a junior who played extensively the last two years and would have started this season transferred to DePauw IN.
Can't help but hurt their prospects for this season.
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)
