Mukwonago G, Collin Madson, has committed to Whitewater.  This is a big get for the Warhawks.

Semling last night on the radio show. Are you getting closer to figuring out a rotation? "Not really."

That is amusing. I guess that doesn't matter much. He knows who he wants on the floor at the end though.

Well, River Falls does something that Point couldn't...beat St. Olaf. They nearly gave it away. The visitors were up 53-43 with 6:12 left in the game. They lose the lead with 1:45 to go, but regain it for the 58-57 road win.

Platteville gets a much needed win over Concordia WI 74-66.

Meanwhile, #1 Christopher Newport gets outscored by 16 in the 2nd half and loses at home to Hampden-Sydney.

GT- Eau Claire couldn't do it either. I thought before the game that Saint Olaf would be a better team than they  appeared to be last night.
WORLD'S OLDEST FALCON FAN.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Luckily the Falcons pulled it out after missing free throws and giving St Olaf opportunities to win it in the last minute.

According to the roster, Pointers have another defection.  Cade Faber is no longer listed.  He was easily the most athletic kid on the team.  I believe Faber wasn't eligible first semester but was going to be eligible for the season during 2nd semester.  During the broadcast of the Trine game, the Point announcers raved about how much Faber would help in the rebounding department.  Until this point, rebounding has been a big weakness of the Pointers.

Point brought in 6 transfers this past offseason, 4 are already gone.  Semling mentioned they would look into bringing in a transfer for 2nd semester during this past radio show, maybe it's even more likely now.

Point up at MSOE 39-33 at halftime. Hot shooting for both teams. Point 47.1% and 7/15 from 3. MSOE is at 48.1% and 5/12 from 3. Point is out-rebounding MSOE 18 to 12 including 9 to 3 on the offensive boards. Lots of work to do in the 2nd half.

Cold shooting catches up with Point. They were up 48-39 with 16:47 to go and they proceed to score 16 points the rest of the game. The battle of reigning Conference Player of the Week showcasing Point's Jake Buchanan and MSOE's Mason Dopirak goes to the latter as he goes for 23 pts and Buchanan shoots just 2-13 for 5 points.

Tough loss for the Dawgs. Again, had a nice lead (although early in the 2nd half) and went cold. A common theme in their losses. A 10-pt 2nd half lead vs St. Olaf in the opener and lose by double digits, a tie game vs Calvin with 3+ minutes to go and don't score the rest of the game and now tonight's game. Our bigs have to be more of a scoring threat to take the pressure off our guards.

Hopefully get back on track this weekend vs Superior.

Close but St Norbert beats EC in De Pere.

SNC broke the tie with :02.7 left. Long inbound path for Blugolds and got an OK look for the three but wouldn't fall. Green Knights win.

Rough night for the WIAC. As mentioned, SNC beats Eau Claire 59-57. Ripon upsets Oshkosh 67-64 and Hamline tops River Falls 75-72 in OT.

Point nearly blows an 18-pt lead but survives Superior 76-72.

Whitewater is beating Greenville by about 40 with 2 minutes to go.

Fourteen different WARHAWKS (8-3, 1-1) scored as they throttled Grinnell clone, Greenville 124-90.  A total of 40 assists was the second highest in program history surpassed only by the 47 assists in last year's meeting between the two.  The WARHAWKS shot 60% from the floor scoring 100 of their 124 in the paint and outscoring the Panthers 40-8 on fast breaks.  After Greenville had a couple of single possession leads and there were a couple of ties in the first few minutes Drew Fisher's layup gave the WARHAWKS a 14-13 lead.  The lead quickly ballooned into double digits reaching a high of twenty-five before the half ended with the score 59-36.  The lead reached a high of 41, 122-81, late in the second half.  Trevon Chislom led all scorers with 26 points in 18 minutes.  Delvin Barnstable (14), Miles Barnstable (12), Earl Lewis (12) and Joey Berezowitz (10) also reached double figures.  Berezowitz finished with a double-double adding 12 assists and the freshman tallied 4 of the team's 18 steals.

Next: St Scholastica 12/29

After last year's 143-104 win I remember wondering how it felt to score 104 points and lose by 40.  This year the Panthers have surrendered at least 100 points in every game and stand 1-9 on the season.  They've scored at least 100 in seven of their 10 games and won once.  Routinely scoring 100 or more and routinely losing.   That's just insane.
