Schaumburg looks to be a solid get.  He had interest from North Park, North Central, Augustana and Illinois Wesleyan.

A bigger guard Point desperately needs/needed. But, Point is still point guard U.

Not sure if Tomt4525 posted this, but Stevens Point already has a commitment for next year.

Jumping the gun there GT

No. LOL

Um, yeah...you still jumped the gun.   Glad he still ended up with UWSP though, hope there are some bigger guards in Wisconsin that also end up committing to UWSP because there are a couple I would have higher on the board than Schaumburg.

Whitewater sweep for the WIAC Conference Tournaments!

On another note, watching a lot of the live streams through the season, what is the ratings for each school?

1. UWO
2. UWW (depending on the color analysts)
2. UWRF
4. UWL
5. UWEC
6.UWSP no archived games
6. UWP no archived games
8. Stout (terrible cameras)

It's a great day to be a WARHAWK!!

Conference tournament trivia:

This was the 21st year of the conference tournament.

Championships:
Men- Stevens Point: 8; WHITEWATER: 5; Oshkosh: 4; River Falls: 2; Platteville: 2
Women- Stevens Point: 7; Oshkosh: 6; WHITEWATER: 3; Stout: 3; Eau Claire: 2

Only three schools, Stevens Point, Oshkosh and WHITEWATER have won both the men and women's championships in the same season.  Point has done it four times (2003-04, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11). Oshkosh twice (2015-16 and 2019-20) and this was a first for the WARHAWKS.

Point's are archived on YouTube, they just their radio feed with the video. Oshkosh an interesting one, cause they do just single camera during late December and January when they are between semesters and they just have a single camera up top. Then, come back with the full student production in February.

Whitewater gets Pool A, probably knocking La Crosse out.

Don't think they are at all related... There were quite a few upsets in the Conference Tournaments across the Nation this weekend.

Had UWO won today, I truly believe the WIAC would've been a one bid league thus year because of all of those upsets...

It will be interesting to see how many WIAC teams get invited to the big dance...
The Warhawks will be well represented, and may have dealt a blow to UWEC's lady Blugolds with the win today...

I see some different numbers on the all-time conference tournament records... If this was the 25th year, dating back to 1999, the championship totals are:

Men = Point 9, UWW 5, UWO 5, UWP 3, UWRF 2, UWEC 1
Women = Point 7, UWO 7, UWEC 4, Stout 4, UWW 3...

They're related. Whether or not Whitewater's win and subsequent Pool C spot Oshkosh took is actually La Crosse's can be argued, but it definitely effected the Eagles' slim chances, along with all the other upsets. As a WIAC fan, obviously, I wanted as many teams as possible in the NCAAs, but two looks very likely. La Crosse's Ethan Anderson has been dealing with an injury for some time now and La Crosse hasn't been playing very well lately, especially at home (at least they wouldn't have been playing at home anyway). Whitewater, on the other hand, has been hot, winning 8 of 9.

After that 8 of 9 stretch Greek Whitewater should be firmly installed as the preseason favorite next year. All their rotation players coming back and solid play at the end of this season.

I do hope Whitewater can step up their schedule a little bit and schedule tougher.

Greek Tragedy

A lot of credit to Coach Miller, considering losing two of their best players, one being Derek Gray. Yes, their non-conference schedule wasn't very demanding.

Crap, I went to the conference website "past seasons" for my information.  That doesn't show the conference tournament results until the 2002-03 season so I assumed that was when it had started and worked from there.  Now when I check I do see the information is included in the results but it isn't separated like they started doing in 2002-03.  I couldn't remember exactly when it had started.

Thanks for correcting me.

Whitewater opens up with Wabash at Case Western Reserve, while the hosts face Arcadia....

UWO hosts Fontbonne, while Hope & Bethany Lutheran will also make the trip to Oshkosh...

Both Whitewater and UWO are on the same side of the brackets, however they are in different quadrants...
