Huss from McDonell would be a no-brainer WIAC player.  I thought he was the best player out there today.  Great frame, stronger passer, able to hit 3s, and put the ball on the floor.

Any of the D4 uther or St. Joe's players committed?

Not sure what kind of a get the Tengblad twins from Holmen are 4UWRF. Do not know whether they are all conference. Their team finished 10 - 13 for the season. How good are they?

Hansen will most likely play next year. Payne Seems to be the only questionable return.

Not much speculation to be had for guys who have already taken a fifth year. They're done. That includes, Plamann, Peterson, Anderson, Steele, Hanke and Mootz.

Thanks. I didn't remember off the top of my head who already took 5th years.

Steele is in the portal,  so he must have 1 year left.

Borchert said on Hoopsville he's not playing again.  Obviously that can change, but it sounds like he's got a job and girlfriend back home and he's ready to move on.

I guess not playing due to injury in 19-20 would give him at sixth year.

6'9" Oshkosh West F, Tristan Johanknecht, has committed to play basketball at Oshkosh.

UWSP Head Coach, Men's Basketball job was posted today, Applications open through 11:59 March 27th.

Anticipated Appointment Date is May 1.

Less than a week before the deadline. Any names surfacing? Does anyone think SNC's Gary Grzesk would be interested? I know his name always pops up when the GB job is available (2 times in recent years, it seems). I'm not sure if he's applied there, got turned down or wasn't interested.

Honestly, I don't even know moving from a private school to a public school is even a step up (maybe even a pay cut). I'm presuming coaching in the WIAC against the likes of some of the big boys is more attractive than going up against some of the NACC teams, although their recent move to the NACC is a step up from the MWC. I think SNC is trying to get a foothold in the Milwaukee and Chicago area recruiting circuit.

Interesting.....

Yesterday the WBCA put out their Awards for the season.  For the Public University D3:  Paider of UWL.   ???

Today I see they adjusted it to:  Barnstable UWW and Paider .  I thought it was very odd that Barnstable was left off, looks like I wasn't the only one!  Someone must have complained.

Is Nick Bennett a name being thrown around for the UWSP job?

Grzesk won't consider Point for numerous reasons. SNC has been recruiting Milwaukee and Chicago (old Metro Conference and Chicago Catholic League) since World War II ended.

I guess I have someone join me who forget about Miles for newcomer of the year!
