What reports?  I've seen nothing that reported names except Hoopdirt or whoever it was that tweeted out Freddie Owens...it also said a HC at both a D3 in Wisconsin and Minnesota...which fits Dernbach and McKenzie, but I have seen no names.
I listed the names on Saturday... I may not have the reputation of Mark Miller, but I'm VERY confident in the names I listed....

I've been around here long enough that I don't just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks!

I should have said that I haven't seen any names verified by a reputable source.  I saw your post and I certainly believe from reading your previous posts on this site, that you know a lot on the topic of D3 basketball.  But, I don't take what ppl post on this site as gospel.  Anyone can post anything they like and throw it out as facts, look at Shinetime.  On top of that, I wasn't expecting Dernbach to have any interest in going back to UWSP, so seeing his name associated with the job is surprising to me.  I'm choosing not to believe he's a candidate until I see his name verified somewhere.

Guess I could've just put it on Twitter, have Miller take the information and create his own tweet (like he's done in the past in lieu of using the retweet function) and then you'd have your "reputable source."

If you say so...why don't you tell us why you're a reputable source?  I haven't seen names posted anywhere other than your post on here, nothing from UWSP...which is odd.

Greek Tragedy

I think tomt4525 just wanted a link to a "report" like the Stevens Point Journal or from the UWSP site itself, instead of, "I've heard..."

I don't find it odd at all.

I mean... if it IS the three guys that cubs posted, then they're all employed elsewhere... and I assume they would like to continue to be if they aren't making a move to Central Wisconsin.

If there isn't anything in writing, then there isn't anything for a future recruit to see and make a different move, etc.

You don't want to believe me, that's your choice... Just don't be surprised when PauldingLightUp comes on here and confirms that Dernbach and McKenzie are the other two candidates that were on campus.

Anyway, I'll let my reputation over the last 20 years or so on this site speak for itself... If you don't think what I have to share is "reputable" so be it. Those who want to believe it can, and those that want to wait for further confirmation from someone else are more than welcome to do so...

I take it you didn't listen to Duckworth's interview on March 30th(I believe that was the date).  Duckworth said it himself in that interview, once they get down to 3 or 4 finalists they would be bringing the finalists to campus and couldn't hide it anymore.  Well, they are bringing the finalists to campus and still hiding them. So, to me that is odd.

Plans change. The names have been listed in various spots. D3 off-season continues to get interesting.

Besides these boards, where else have these names been listed?

Everyone knows this is the ONLY place that matters!  ;D

Seriously though, there's a reason this site is the first place I look for any relevant D3 News. Pat has done a great job building this site to what it is and the message board compliments it well with so many long time users that still post updates.

There is another Rindfleisch heading to Oshkosh.  Wisconsin Lutheran 6'8" F, Riley Rindfleisch, has committed to the Titans.

Yes, I did listen to the interview.  And just listened to the key section again.

Mr. Duckworth said that, once the community forums began, the identity would be known... but, he didn't say that UWSP would be openly announcing who the candidates were.

By the way, he also said that after stage 1, there would *probably* be a stage 2... getting from 90, down to 10 to 20... and zoom interviews. But that was almost 3 weeks ago, and based on the timing of what has happened, it doesn't seem like this is exactly how it went.

He did say that once they get to 3-5 to come on campus, they "certainly will make public" the people who will be coming to campus.

However, that hasn't happened in writing... but it has happened for anyone who has gone to the forums.

I couldn't find the section where he specifically talks about some of the rules related to UWSP being a public university... and public posting of certain information. But I think that REALLY only matters for the candidate who the offer is extended to.

Can't be a bad thing to have played a lot with Kon.
