With a salary of $34-46K, do they really think they are going to attract someone who is good, much less that will stay beyond using UWO as a stepping stone. Pay a decent salary you might get a quality person with media experience that really gets it!!! At that pay, keep on the revolving door/treadmill.
This is exactly it. Being a good SID is a lot of work and a lot of hours. Pay is way too low to get any quality.

I know of at least one current SID (with a wealth of experience) who would probably take the job if it actually paid what it is worth! Instead, with UWO choosing to "pinch pennies" he will likely just stay right where he is!

Maybe UWO is still in the "poor house" after the former Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Finance diverted money from the Alumni Stadium funds to get their coveted Biodigester ..

I'm not scrolling back that many pages. Besides, he just announced his intent to sign yesterday (unless I missed a tweet back then too). Obviously a lot has happened since January, so he could've easily changed his mind. Apparently I just forgot about your post 5 1/2 month ago.

Johnson played at Neb Wes, also was an assistant when they won their Naty.

Sullivan is an assistant at Wabash, played at Denison. Was an assistant with the current HC at Wabash when they were at Defiance.

Novak spent 8 years as HC at Bethel.

Hurd took over MSOE when Miller quit at the beginning of the season. He was an assistant at Carroll U and Point before that. Played at Carroll.

Gritzmacher was an assistant at Whitewater from '15-'17. He was also a student assistant there.
