Have heard they cut the list to 3 for on-campus.

Sounds like per sources by 2024-2025 WIAC will move back to women's/men's doubleheaders on Saturdays. Main reason is the new Sonnentag Center will have concerts and the like and be unavailable some Saturdays. Sounds like doubleheaders on Wednesdays are also a possibility moving forward.

Greek Tragedy

If it wasn't previously mentioned and isn't considered old news:

PauldingLightUP posted IWU's schedule on the CCIW page and includes Stout playing in the Jack Sikma tournament and traveling to Point Saturday, Dec. 31.

St. Olaf's schedule is also posted and has them hosting Point Wednesday, November 15. St. Olaf also plays River Falls December 12 and Eau Claire December 30

With Calvin, IWU and St. Olaf...that is a start of a very good non-conference schedule for UWSP.  It will be interesting to see how it gets filled out, if there are any surprises with a change in leadership.

MSOE and WLC return games schedules per those teams. WLC Tuesday before Thanksgiving and MSOE actually between the holidays this time late December.

Oh yes, you're right...I remember seeing that as well.

I'll start doing an update for each team and their recruiting class that I have been able to find anyways.  I'll list Seniors on their roster but I have no idea on the majority of these guys, if they have a covid year to use...if they plan to not use it...or I'm sure plenty of them have exhausted their eligibility as well.

Eau Claire

Incoming Recruits
Mason Monarski 6'0" Chippewa Falls
Jackson Tomczak 6'7" Chippewa Falls
Grant Paetzold 6'1" Cameron
Alex Mierow 6'5" Franklin

Seniors
Brock Voigt 6'4"  transferring to Winona St for Covid year
Spencer Page  6'6"
Nate Hau 6'7"
Alex Voigt 6'5"
Carter Hanke 6'3"

Tough offseason for Eau Claire with losing Brock Voigt to Winona St.  There are normally some Minnesota kids that matriculate to Eau Claire, so I'm sure there are some other commits that aren't known.  With that said, I'm not too high on the incoming talent compared to the departing talent for UWEC.  I'd expect a 6th-8th conference finish next year.

tomt4525

La Crosse

Incoming Recruits
Ben Goedheer 6'6" Catholic Memorial
Vince Vandervest 6'4" Bay Port
Jordan Hibner 6'2"  Monona Grove

Seniors or Outgoing Transfers
Tanner Resch 6'0"  Transfer to Benedictine
Henry Noone 6'3"
Ethan Anderson 6'4"
Craig Steele 6'3" (in transfer portal for covid year still)
Mandela Deang 6'5"
Austin Westra 6'6"
Joey Platz 6'3"

Hard to predict how La Crosse is going to be next season.  They still don't have a coach in place so recruiting has been slow moving.  If everyone returns that has eligibility left, they will still be tough.  With that said, they will be losing a lot of talent this year and next year, and the incoming talent isn't on that level.

tomt4525

Oshkosh

Incoming Recruits
Jack Ambrose 6'6" Batavia(IL)
Nicholas Kraftzenk 6'7" Fox Valley Lutheran
Mitchell Metcalf-Grassman 6'5" Shawano
Kaine Fort 6'9" Peshtigo
Max Tutas 6'3" Sheboygan North (ranked 39th Wissports Senior Rankings)
Tristan Johanknecht 6'9" Oshkosh West
Riley Rindfleisch 6'8" Wisconsin Lutheran
Seth Miron 6'5" Kimberly (ranked 32nd Wissports Senior Rankings)
Landon Key 6'4" Wisconsin Lutheran
Jamariea Dalton 6'2" Fon Du Lac (ranked 20th Wissports Senior Rankings)

Seniors
Eric Peterson 6'3"
Will Mahoney 6'2" Back
Hunter Plamann 6'0"
Nick Otto 6'4"
Quinn Steckbauer 6'0" Back
Levi Borchert 6'5" Not using Covid year
Cole Booth 6'1" - has multiple years of eligibility left but I heard he left the team, not sure the legitimacy of that

Losing Borchert and Plamann is absolutely huge, they are obviously 2 of the best players in the conference.  With that said, Lewis just keeps reloading.  The size of this incoming class is ridiculous, adding Miron and Dalton is extremely impressive on top of all the size.  I can't see Oshkosh being anywhere other than at the top or near the top of the conference in the foreseeable future.

tomt4525

Platteville

Incoming Recruits
Luke Beighley 6'6" Whitehall
Matt Kirk 6'4" Milton
Will Gardner 6'2" Franklin
Seth Bunders 6'1" Wauzeka-Steuben (ranked 47th Wissports Senior Rankings)
Bristol Lewis 6'3" United Township(IL)
Max Lucey 6'4" Cuba City (ranked 33rd Wissports Senior Rankings)
Lucas Rameker 6'4" St Mary's Springs

Seniors
Brad Neis 6'7"

Platteville is set up very nicely with Pearson leaving the transfer portal and heading back to Platteville.  They will have a ton of experience which is invaluable in a conference like the WIAC.  The recruiting class is extremely solid, I was very impressed with Will Gardner and Max Lucey.  Platteville should continue to challenge at the top of the conference.

tomt4525

River Falls

Incoming Recruits
Reid Tengblad 6'6" Holmen
Drew Tengblad 6'6"
Micah Thompson 6'5" Perham(MN)
Zac Johnson 6'2" River Falls (transfer from D2 Augustana)

Seniors or Transfers
Rodrick Payne 6'8" Transfer to D1 Western Illinois
Noah Hanson 6'3" back

If Payne was coming back to UWRF, I would think this team has the talent and ability to win the conference.  They would have shooters all over the floor(Jedwabney, Johnson and Hanson) so you wouldn't be able to collapse on Payne.  They don't have that inside presence now so there can be much more defensive pressure out on the perimeter.  Adding Thompson and Johnson are 2 solid pieces for UWRF in this incoming class.  They will be a tough team but might lack that star when they had Payne.  They could certainly prove me wrong.

tomt4525

Stevens Point

Incoming Recruits
AJ Uttech 6'1" Columbus (ranked 40th Wissports Senior Rankings)
Austin Schaumburg 6'4" Dunlap(IL)
Logan Baumgartner 6'4" Medford (ranked 43rd Wissports Senior Rankings)
Mason Prey 6'4" Wausau Newman (ranked 27th Wissports Senior Rankings)
Jackson Watson 6'1" Libertyville(IL) PWO transfer from D1 Bowling Green
Josiah Butler 6'3" Fox Valley Lutheran(class of 2022, took prep year) (ranked 35th in Class of 2022 Wissports Senior Rankings)

Seniors or Transfers
Zach Mootz 6'2"
Isaac Woelffer 6'5"
Dylan Ruder 6'11" transfer
Elijah Vander Velden 6'8" left team at the end of last season

There is still a humongous need for a big man, but if Dernbach can solve that problem before next season, I don't think it would be possible for him to have a better start as the Head Coach at UWSP.  It might take another year, but it certainly looks to me that UWSP is trending back where they were to the national scene of D3 Hoops.

tomt4525

Stout

Incoming Recruits
Collin Vick 6'2" Owatonna(MN)
Mason Stoik 6'5" Eau Claire Memorial
Jackson Wilhelmson 6'4" Kenosha Indian Trail
Dominic Croci 6'1" Hurley
Caden Hoffman 6'0" D2 Concordia-St Paul transfer
Nolan Staufacher 6'5" Columbus
Carson Hoffman 6'10" Osceola

Seniors
Preson Briggs 6'5"
Cory Hoglund 6'1"
Carson Moe 6'2"

I think this is a solid class for Stout, with Fox back they should be able to compete in the conference.  To move up the ladder is very tough though, I still see Stout at the bottom but they will beat some good teams on their good nights.

tomt4525

And finally...

Whitewater

Incoming Recruits
Collin Madson 6'3" Mukwonago (ranked 30th Wissports Senior Rankings)
Jake Fisher 6'2" Oconomowoc (Walk on Transfer from D1 Western Illinois, ranked 37th in the 2022 Wissports Senior Rankings)
Tristian Lynch 6'6" Green Bay New Lutheran
Brock Marino 6'7" Lake Villa(IL)

Not much needs to be said here, they return everyone of note on a Final Four Team.  They should be the preseason favorite and rightfully so.  Getting Madson and Fisher are big gets for the Warhawks and should give them even more depth to their roster.  I don't know much on Marino, other than he had a lot of D3 options, so he seems like a good get with his size as well.  Should be a fun year for the Warhawks upcoming.

Greek Tragedy

Great job like usual, Tomt4525. +1 Thanks for your efforts.
