6'5" McFarland F, Aidan Chislom, will play basketball for Whitewater.

Trevon's brother, I presume? Both from McFarland.

You presume correctly. Trevon returns next year as well.  Drew Fisher's brother is also joining the program so the WARHAWKS will feature three sets of brothers on next season's roster.  (Chislom, Fisher and Barnstable).

A change of heart for Kimberly's Seth Miron (6'5"). He will play for Point now after previously committing to Oshkosh.

Add Logan Baumgartner to that quarterback room!!  Another terrific QB.  Saw him play last Fall.  An arm like his father's!!!

Greek Tragedy

Possibly a recruiting tool used by Point. The football coach and basketball coach agreed they could play for both sports.

Baumgartner was also a First Team All State baseball player if we want to talk about playing multiple sports.

It is fun to speculate, but I did hear they are playing basketball ONLY, so no football...or baseball, for that matter.

I hope the schedule comes out soon. I hate waiting until August. I haven't scrolled any other schedules to see who else Point is playing though.

There must be some transfers not known about for Point or kids staying at UWSP but not continuing to play basketball.  Roster sits at 23 and Dernbach said himself he would plan to keep it around 18.  The roster is loaded with underclassmen at this point.  There are certainly some leftovers from the previous regime that would see either playing time dwindle or playing time that just isn't there.

I said awhile back that I couldn't envision a better start for Dernbach at UWSP, it's gotten better.

What is UWSP's roster going to look like,  sounds like they have about 20 newcomers!

Well...half that for newcomers.  Here is the roster as far as I know it.

Returners:

Jake Buchanan
Ryan Genrich
AJ Makinen
Ryan Peterson
Myles Coleman
Brennan Timm
Shane Tarjan
Landon VanCalster
Blake Kortz
Josiah Gillie
Augustus Foster
Luke Warden
James Sivley

Incoming Recruits

AJ Uttech
Austin Schaumburg
Mason Prey
Logan Baumgartner
Jackson Watson
Josiah Butler
Cal Krohn
Parker Prahl
Seth Miron
Sam Coulthard

As much talent as Coach Dern has collected in this incoming class, there is still a void at the 5.  Warden did a solid job as a freshman and can have minutes at that spot.  The size added this offseason is Cal Krohn, and watching his highlights sure seems like he is more of a 4/3 than he is a 5.  Prahl is a pretty muscular kid at 6'5", he can play the 4 I would think, not his ideal position though.

The other glaring omission I can see on this roster is experience.  17 of the 23 players on this list are underclassmen.  The WIAC is certainly and upperclassmen league.  I can see UWSP being another year out from really competing at the top of the league.  When these younger kids get more experience though, sky is the limit.  It's exciting as a Pointer fan that's for sure.
