Voters obviously not impressed with Point's wins, gaining only 3 points.

Oshkosh actually gained 7 points

La Crosse went from #21 and 128 pts to #14 and 252 points.

Platteville stayed at #6 but went from 426 points to 452.

Good to see Stout get a win. Hopefully four UMAC in a row to close nonconference can get them some more wins.

Oshkosh hangs on for the 91-83 win. It was down to 3 with about 20 seconds to go, but the Titans hit their FTs.

Metcalf-Grassman continues his hot start, scoring 28. Oshkosh may be real good for a long time. MMG is a sophomore, freshman LaChappell had 18 and freshman Beck had 16.

I watched this one on Hudl. Check out the stat sheet on this one......first half FG% and 3P% for both teams in the 60%+ range. Every shot Ripon threw up went in. Oshkosh had several 10 point 10 leads in H2 but Ripon just kept gunning.  Ripon could be dangerous in MWC.

I'm not so sure about Oshkosh. They keep winning, play Calvin again this week. How did that happen?

Unbelievable!!! La Crosse comes all the way back from down 25-50 to win 99-97. Bethany had a look at three at buzzer, but it was off the rim. Eagles press really worked in the second half. Eagles survive a major upset scare in Mankato against the Vikings.

Eau Claire built a 20 point second half lead, but Crown crawled back to within 3, and Blugolds hold on by 6.

Stout has to comeback at North Central, but does get the 4 point win.

Greek Tragedy

Oshkosh hangs on 73-69 over Calvin. The Titans improve to 7-1 while Calvin, who was preseason #9, I believe, drops to 1-6.

The WIAC improves to 38-18.

Here are the weekend games:

Dec. 6
Hope at UW-Whitewater

Dec. 7
Calvin at UW-La Crosse
 UW-Superior at UW-Eau Claire
 Trine at UW-Stevens Point
 Hope at UW-Platteville

Oshkosh is playing three freshman a lot. Plus a sophomore Grassman leads them.

The Warhawks held off Hope 90-83. There were times it looks like Whitewater would run away with it, but Hope battled and got to within a couple of possessions a few times to keep it close. Barker was apparently unstoppable, scoring 27. Whitewater improves to 4-3. Hope, who was actually ranked #21 in the preseason poll but has dropped out since, drops to 3-4.

Mr. Greek Tragedy:

Any SheVegas odds on Trine vs Point?

I am attending but a quite concerned it might be rough today.

Greek Tragedy

I think Massey had Trine winning by only 4 or 5 points but gave them a 66% chance of winning, for what it's worth.

Unfortunately, I won't make it home. I'll watch it on TV and hope to see 1,500 or so there.

Coach Dernbach sure seems very upset with the ref we all know as Archie Bunker. Point way up inside the 4 minute media timeout, maybe he should back off a little bit,

Big Point crew at Hilltop after the game. I'll be wearing my orange hunting vest if anyone wants to say hello.

Report from Quandt:

Trine not very good. Shot 9% from 3 point and turned it over a lot and at key times.
Point not too good either. Mid 20% from 3 point and snuck away with a 3 point victory.
Court was stormed. All 50 or so students. None of the fixed income crowd participated.
Hard W to celebrate, a lot of work to do for the Pointers.
