Maybe it's a bigger ref problem. I don't watch as many other conferences. There is some crossover for sure. They all should still ref the game. It's their job! They get paid. It's not a volunteer position.

tom4525, I'm a Stout guy and pretty much just read this board and rarely post. I really enjoy your recruiting posts, among others, FWIW.

Alright, Jeff Lewis, Tim Windler, and James Wilbern your officials tonight in Platteville.

Jeff Lewis the best we have.

I second that.

Like all the whining has contributed so much and we all know so much more now.  Too freakin' funny.

That's silly and overly dramatic but I don't really care what you post.

Platteville was dominant tonight. It was a beat down.

Platteville will be tough to beat at home in the NCAA Tournament.

I don't want to jinx it, but based on Matt and Ryan's Bracketology they are in great position to host the second weekend. There appears to be enough teams around 500 miles. But, enough still when your this far west it will still take some "luck".

Platteville takes care of  LaCrosse 89-68 to win the WIAC Tournament for the 2nd year in a row. It was 41-28 at halftime and Platteville stretched the lead to over 15 points in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half to secure the win. It's now wait and see who and where they will play next weekend. Given  Platteville's history of hosting NCAA Tournament games they have a good shot at hosting the first weekend.

Greek Tragedy

Miles Hettinger fouled out in 12 minutes. In his defense, they all looked pretty soft.

(sarcasm -  no idea, actually, didn't watch the game)

True, but it seems the NCAA is actually trying to take steps to protect the top seeds, so even if they have to make an extra flight to Platteville, they'll do it. They had a number of flights two years ago where you saw Cal Lutheran and Pomona Pitzer fly East. They already had a "Texas pod," so they had to fly them somewhere.

I heard on the news yesterday that they will be tearing down Zorn arena in Eau Claire. There's a lot of history in that building.

The nerds in Tweeter said La Crosse submitted a bid but not for their on-campus gym...a downtown arena.

Any La Crosse insider have more on this? Did the NCAA accept the bid?

No idea, but I will say La Crosse Center got recently renovated, so it's not a bad option. It's as new and as upgraded as possible inside for the old building on the outside.

La Crosse Center is so weird because fans are so far from the court, which isn't ideal. Hosted state basketball during COVID and the start of girls wrestling.

PauldingLightUP

The whole situation sucks for La Crosse. First time a lock to host, gymnastics at Mitchell Hall, put together a bid at the La Crosse Center and all the logistics that come with that, but now they might not accept your bid.
