Manning Shareef, 6'6", has picked up an offer from La Crosse. He already holds offers from Eau Claire and Maryville, MO. Maryville is a D2 school. Not sure if that's a scholarship offer. Playing for Milwaukee School of Languages, Shareef made 1st team all-conference in the Milwaukee City Conference, Blue Division.

Quote from: Greek Tragedy on March 23, 2025, 01:28:00 PMYeah, there were a few comments on Twitter commenting on the play, "It looks like a WIAC game." Not sure if they knew they were actual WIAC officials.

We definitely posted that they were WIAC officials, yep.

Stevens Point will be heading down to San Antonio the weekend before Christmas to participate in the Leslie Robinson Classic. Joining the Pointers will be:

St. John's
Marietta
Mary Washington
St. Thomas
Schreiner
Hardin-Simmons
Trinity TX (host)

Last year, La Crosse and St. John's were both teams in the Great Lakes Invitational. I sent the organizer a note pleading for them not to have La Crosse and St. John's play each other because they can literally play each other at any time. To my disappointment, the GLI did schedule them to play each other. However, they didn't realize La Crosse and St. John's were already scheduled to play each other less than a week later. They did amend the schedule. Hopefully they won't run into the same problem down south, even if Point and the Johnnies aren't scheduled to play each other this upcoming season. WIAC teams play MIAC teams all the time, I want them to play someone they normally wouldn't.

Peter Lattos, 6'8", who went to West Salem, has entered the transfer portal out of Northern Michigan. He has 3 years of eligibility left. Wonder if he'll show up on a WIAC roster next season.

Interestingly, when the article was written, he had offers from Lakeland, Stout, Edgewood and Valley City State. Eau Claire was not mentioned. He averaged almost 22 a game.  1st team all-conference.
