MBB: Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Pool C are at-large bids... Any NCAA eligible team can earn a bid. Pool B teams are teams who are either indepenent or from conferences too small (I think with less than 6 teams) to get an automatic bid (a Pool A team).

Wooo! three WIACteams! Who'd have ever thought we'd see the day??? Good luck in the tourney Whitewater, Stout, and La Crosse. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the stongest conferences prove they earned their bids... but esp the WIAC, since you you guys so rarely even got two teams in under the old tourney system!

Congrats to UWL on its berth in the NCAA tournament! Long time coming, but they have earned it this year. Way to go, guys...

Good luck to Stout and Whitewater, too, and the other three Wisconsin reps...

I hope the Wisconsin teams don't meet each other right away, so they don't knock each other out. It'd be nice to see them all make nice runs, so our state can be represented in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8...

And who knows, maybe one of these teams from Wisconsin will be able to keep the NCAA D3 trophy in our state for yet another year!

I'm really thrilled that La Crosse got a bid. I'm hoping to talk Brian into going to our first game.

Congratulations to Stout on a well deserved bid.

I'm really surprised, but happy, to see La Crosse get in. My fear is that any one of the WIAC teams will get knocked out right away. Obviously I hope that's not the case.

I have a feeling that all three teams will be put in different REGIONALS (first weekend), but all three might be put in the same sectional. Whitewater may have a chance to head East to the Great Lakes region since they are pretty far south and could be clumped in with the CCIW and MIAA teams, among others. I'd like to see the WIAC teams as far apart as possible. But La Crosse and Stout are both in that MIAC, IIAC and West section, so they may meet in the regional. That would suck!

Swampgoon and I are planning on hitting one of the regionals this upcoming weekend.

It's a great day to be a WIAC fan. Two teams in one section, the third (UW-LaCrosse) in a different section. The WIAC and the ODAC are the only two leagues that have a chance of getting two teams into the Final Four.

Hey there everyone!!!!!!

I know that I have been critical of Stout and other teams in the past, but much luck to them and UWL in the tournament, I'm so excited that UWW gets to host at least one game, but two? If I read the bracket right.

Old School, I will gladly get you two tickets, otherwise I'm sure BW or another poster will get them, I will see when they are for sale and pick them up since I work out at Williams Center pretty much every day. I hope they are as easy to get as WIAC playoff tickets.

UWW4ever, OS emailed me and asked if I would pick them up and I responded afffirmatively but if you're on campus regularly it would be easier for you to do it if you didn't mind. I'd have to make a special trip over there, which I don't mind doing at all and isn't that big of deal, but if you're there every day you'd save me the trip.

Whatever is fine, I just need to know when they go on sale, I think I'm going to keep the UWW website minimized and find out when they go on sale. I think that many students and other fans will be anticipating the sale so the tickets may or may not go fast.

Thanks for the email. My real name is Ryan. Remember when Rob Perry made a try at calling timeout and fell into the stands? Where he ended up is where I was sitting. He said something pretty funny too when he didn't get the timeout, ended up falling pretty softly on one of the kids in the stand and scared him a bit.

I'd be interested in tickets to just Friday night's games, if a WW fan could pick one up with me. I'll even sit with Swampgoon and Old School if it makes it easier

I think with Illinois Wesleyan at this regional, these tickets will be a hot commodity, and the gym will be packed. Should make for a great atmosphere!

Actually Jack and I have met on two other occassions at the WIAA boy's tournament. One time we even watched most of a game together with several of the other conference coaches. Not that I'd expect he'd remember it. It was a few years ago and he's been pretty busy with other things, like winning national championships, for the past two tourneys.

All right, I will have to recruit my girl in on this one (she is a student, can easily be on campus at certain times during the day that I can't) and is there any requests for tickets (preferred-seats w/ backs, etc.)? I'm going to get one for me in Section A, two for the same for OS and friend, and apparently Jack Bennett has now joined the amazing race for regional tickets. Holy Crap!!!!

Nothing is posted on WW website as of yet, if they are printing them up today and sale tomorrow, I will ask the woman to go in line. If she doesn't, she is going to get put on probation
