Old School,

They are in my front seat of my car, all 10 tickets.  We need to find some people to go w/ you or me.

Yes, they did have tickets remaining.  Ironically, my girl got two free tickets for living in a DLK property.  She is not going, but I have those two tickets also.

A lot of wasted effort on her part, but now we have 12 tickets w/ 3 takers.  I will ask some buddies on campus if they want to go and and I will make up the difference.  No problem there.

Oh well, GO HAWKS

BTW, THE STUDENT TICKETS ARE SECTION A ROW 1

You guessed correctly. The DeVos Fieldhouse was built with private funding, the initial $7.5m of which came from Amway founder Richard DeVos. Ironically, DeVos is a Calvin grad.

I wouldn't want you to do that.  I'm the idiot that got overly excited and bought 10.  Anyway, worse comes to worse, I'll post something on the CCIW board.  I hear those IWU fans like to travel...and they seem pretty nice.   :D

I sent you and badger an email this morning.  We have time.

So, did he build Calvin one too?  ;D

His money is all over the place there also.  We were there last year for the women's tournament.  We stayed right on campus and all I will say about it is Monks have a better chance of getting a beer than we did.

And no one will ever mistake you for a monk, Stoutguy. :D

Well of course on campus you're out of luck. It's walking distance down to 8th St. where a handful of drinking establishments of varying reputation can be found, for future reference.

As to Hope attracting the dollars of a Calvin grad, he is also a Holland resident with a quaint little place on the lake. It's apparently the case that Hope got the money with the condition that Holland Christian High School would also use the new facility for their home basketball games since Hope and HCHS had shared the last building. That place is the top end amongst small colleges, I have to imagine the only other time high schools play in a place that nice is if they make the state finals.

columbianmaffia-

Terry Farmer, Ryan Stangl, and Greg Chaisson also start for Stout.  Farmer is short for the post but strong and can leap well.  Stangl is the "3-point shooter" on the team.  Chaisson is quick and athletic.  From what I have seen, Stout scoring is pretty balanced amoungst the starters.

I don't know...    throw a brown robe on Stoutguy & take the beer out of his hand...

He could be mistaken for a Monk!

Good luck getting that beer out of his hand.

A little ditty on my buddy stoutguy-

He traded in his pick-up
More rusty than red
Now he's got a new/used truck
Man, is it white
Not another color on it
Now he looks like a cable TV installer
I wonder if the poor schmuck
That buys his old/used truck
Will figure out why
Everyone keeps giving him the finger

Hey did I just haiku?
Old School, Downtown, some of you younger guys,
did I haiku? What the heck is a haiku?  ???  ;)  ;D

stoutguy

Hey, now don't you be messing with an old English teacher.  You start bringing that poetry stuff around me and you are going to be in a mess of trouble.  Regarding my truck, I was wondering why my neighbors keep calling and asking if my cable has been on the blink.

Rico 21

When I had Stoutguy as a teacher, hiaku is what we did after we drank his homebrew!
