Mr. Downtown

Sure, I'll join Old School.

Be funny to interview players and ask them how come they didn't grab two extra rebounds for me  :D

Would RF even have a player worthy of making a fantasy team?

Old School,

I know a group of guys that have been doing this WIAC Fantasy League for the past 5 years and religiously follow the WIAC, but also the numbers. These guys are die hard fans and do it in a unique way from creating a website, influence their players (in person) to put up better numbers, email the coaches (to get insider info), and more than anything enjoy the D3 basketball that comes with it. A lot of interesting things have happened to say the least... and they explain it by saying, BARPS...

That's cool.  This would hardly be religious or die hard, though.  I'd hate to disappoint! lol

Not sure if I'll do a league.  I'm always ambitious during the summer.  But come the season, I'm doing the pick em league, have done the MWC pick em league, and may do a nation-wide pick em league.

Han Hoeg was first team all conference this past year.
Jeff Holt was HM the year before.
Some guy name Rich Melzer in 2003-2004, along with Helfrey, Becker and Halter...

I don't think you have to worry about any RF people being on any fantasy teams, as the only name you will recognize next year is Ryan Thompson! Everyone else is not playing, I wish Berk luck, but he will need a horseshoe up his butt a lot this coming year!

As far as Eddie Andrist I hope he falls flat on his face this year like Gibby has for the past 5 years! Maybe Eddie will play Finladia 4 times this year, one more than Gibby!

I will also miss Stangl playing he is doing the right thing!

Abercrombie, I checked and Stout is only playing Findlandia once.

Don't you owe me a case of beer too?  lol

So what's the story with Hoeg and Zylstra not playing for River Falls this season?  It's going to make it much tougher to win with a first year coach not having two of his top "returning" players ....

I know I owe you a case of beer badgerwarhawk, next time you are in Black River Falls let me know, I will be here for quite awhile as I just signed a contract teaching at their elementary school!

Hoeg and Zylstra started up a Internet business, one dropped out of school and spring and other finished up in spring, but is not coming back this year to finish degree! I don't know much else as frankiet, he is always in the loop with rf hoops!

I get to Tomah on occassion so I just might take you up on that Abercrombie.  Pretty familiar with the backroads between BRF and Millston and over towards Wyeville.   Road trip!

Well abercrombie, I hope you are not teaching English after ending all 7 sentences in your last 2 posts with an exclamation point.

As far as Ed Andrist falling "flat on his face" with the BlueDevil squad this year, don't count on it.

I wouldn't write off either Coach Andrist's or Coach Berkhof's ability to put substantial teams on the floor this season.

abercrombie92

not teaching english, thank goodness!

I am not writing off River Falls, I wish them the best of luck, they're still my team, I just really hope Andrist falls flat on his face!

stoutguy

That would be capital letter "E"nglish and that's two more sentences ending with an exclamation point, and it's "an internet business".  I also remember several of your posts from past years regarding Coach Gardow and your comments about the Stout program and all I can say is I hope you have matured a bit now that you are teaching elementary school at BRF.

The period would go inside the quotation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your last sentence is also a run-on sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will stay off this board to avoid the criticism, my plate is full enough right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both of your "corrections" are incorrect, but that's okay.  Please don't go away.  We need RF guys on the board.  We can't expect the busy mayor to uphold his bb product  by himself this year.  He will need help.

P.S.  That should be a period, not a comma after "criticism".

Welcome to D3 Grammar.com  ;D

You guys are killing me.  :D

abercrombie, don't check out. Like stoutguy said fred falcon needs some more help from the River Falls crowd. Being in charge of a fine city keeps him busy enough.

And if I am following this correctly, fred falcon is even up on his beer bets from last year.  ;)

Edit: Upon further review the beer score is:

          BW +2 cases
          FF   -1 case
          ab   -1 case

Beware betting brew with the BW.
