There two others on the MWC forum (who's names I've forgotten) that owe me a case of beer too.   Both were foolish enough to think SNC could take us two years ago and even more incredibly neither asked for any points.   When it comes to betting I've always lived by the words of the great WC Fields, "never give a sucker an even break." :D

You are a shrewd betting opponent BW.

Now as a suggestion to all the posters who owe BW beer, may I recommend payment in  cases of Point?

Not putting the product down by any means. But for a Warhawk like BW to be sipping on a few bottles of Point while listening to his beloved squad play an away game, well, seems like a situation that requires no further elaboration.  :D

Regarding UWSP recruit Matt Moses (I know, a post from a while ago) I believe he will become an impact player in the WIAC. I consider Matt and his family friends, so I know that I am very biased on this one, but I will add that he had several scholarship offers as well as significant interest from D3 programs in the state, including WIAC schools.

Having said that, I will be on here now that I have a significant interest in WIAC basketball now. I am still trying to get the lay of the land, and despite the fact I attend UW-Oshkosh, I am all for the Pointers now!

Where is the UWSP schedule?

All this talk about who is and isn't returning to their teams for '06-'07 reminds me that, at UWP, Sean Krause's status is still iffy.  He's got eligibility left but the call of the real world may overrule it.

Bball Coach,

I do not know the Point schedule, but rumor has it that they are opening at Lawrence.  Should be a good game.  LU owes them a couple from the two Point national championship years.

Old School and others......what is the forecast for Point this year?

Good to see another poster joining the fray...even a Pointer fan from Oshkosh! lol.  ;D

Rumor around the campfire is that Bob is having some problems filling out the schedule.  I was thinking about suggesting scheduling Finlandia three times.  :P

Not sure what the forecast is this year.  We've lost starter Brian Bauer and reserve/part-time starter Brian Bouche.  It looks like we've added some quality recruits, but we'll probably again be shorthanded in the post.  All is quiet on the home-front, but I'm looking forward to the new season, especially to see who we play!  That Lawrence/UWSP tilt will be fun to watch as they are both similar teams, but it will lose a little of the luster from two and three years ago without Kalsow, Bennett and Braier, among others.

Should still be a good LU team, just a slightly different offensive approach I suspect.

Is the game in Point?  I better call Stub hub today or I probably won't be allowed in.  ;)

Hey OS, when did Matt Bouche change his name to Brian...?!   :P

I worked the Point team camp a few weeks ago.  This Point team is going to be young, just like last year.  In fact, they've got a VERY similar makeup... 2 seniors, 2 juniors, all the rest underclassmen.  One important note... the obvious fact that last year's freshmen are now sophomores.  Those kids got LOTS of experience last year simply out of necessity.

And those boys last year showed that they may have been young but they had lots of heart.  Heck, how about that Stout WIAC tourney game?  The game appeared to be over at the half, and Point came back and almost took it from them.

I think this Point squad will be better than last year's, and that they'll never be out of a game.

He changed it when he tried to get another year of eligibility...or something like that!  Sorry Matt, no disrespect.

I see Point on the womens schedule at LU website, but not for the men.  Wonder if they play?

I believe that Point is a solid big man away from being a national champion.  I think this year's season is shaping up to be pretty interesting.  The season can't come soon enough!

I hear they play and that the schedule is not yet updated.

I am happy to have seen Coach Aaron Bonnett being able to move from UWSP to UW-L.  Coach Koelbl knows that Bonnett has been there and done that

I realize this is the men's board, but since it was mentioned that the LU women play the UWSP women, in hopes that the men do the same, I question why you would schedule a nonconference opponent twice.  True that both will be in-region, but still, you couldn't find anyone else?  ???  ;D  I could see LU and Point matched up in the championship game in the Tip-Off Tourney, but to schedule them against each other in the first round?

Anyway...
