Farmer was a tough matchup for the WARHAWKS.  Good luck to him.

Titan2000, the Oshkosh coach seems to have a bit of a reputation of being more concerned about hunting than about his program.  I don't know, that just reflects stuff I've read.

If you actually believe what titan2000 is posting, you haven't been around long enough.  He has been saying the same thing for probably the last two or three years.  Just to get things straight, he is a bigger fisherman than he is hunter....

Anyways, I have heard that within the last month, TVD's #1 2006 recruit Bryce Welch has left the UWO basketball team and transferred to Winona State.  That leaves the Titan's without a shooting guard for the upcoming season, with less than a week before practice starts.  I also have heard that a former player is back at UWO to finish his eligibility.  I have an idea who it is, but without being sure I am not going list him.  Once I find out for sure I will post it.

Can this Welch loss be confirmed?  What about Matt Miller, isn't he a shooter?  ???

Just wondering how practice is going around the league???

titansrus

The Bryce Welsh transfer has been confirmed. My friend called him and asked him the other day and he confirmed that he is transferring to Winona State. That'll be a tough loss for the Titans because it looked like he was possibly gonna take the place of Andy Jahnke as the best pure shooter. Yeah, Matty Miller is a good shooter, but he's inconsistent. I'm wondering how D.J. Marsh does this year after not being able to play last year due to injury. It sounds like TVD was high on this guy. In order for Titans to make big dance, their seniors will need to be able to lead-something that was obviously missing last year.
Don't give up. Don't ever give up.

rumor has it they are getting ready to win the conference for luke

uww4ever

I certainly wish them luck in winning the conference for Luke Homan.

WW has been pretty animated in the weight room and around the gym, especially senior Gio Riley.  There are a lot of new guys trying out, I like the size and strength of our team.  Haven't seen Miggins around there, must have dropped out or transferred, but he was injury prone anyway.

Should be interesting year, but finally we do have experience from the playoffs and a lot of good guys coming back.  Should make for an exciting year.  I doubt I will make it to Midnight Madness to give you actual basketball details, but that is all I've seen is the weight room.

I beg to differ with titansrus on Matt Miller being inconsistant.  I believe he was the 3pt percentage leader on the Titans last year and shot 83% from the line.  I do not think that too many of you know much about Miller with him coming from the other part of the state.  If he is allowed to play his game, he will be a huge asset to the team.

I expect my team to try to win the conference EVERY year.
