Now, we spoke about Rortvedt... he's shot 122 3's and made 53 of them, for 43.4 percent... Hicklin has made 12 fewer, shooting 50 less 3's!  That's unbelievable as well!

What's unbelievable is that you missed the alumni game where Swampgoon and I came to watch you swat Jason Kalsow layups, run the floor on fast breaks and dunk on Tamaris Relerford!  OK, not really... :o

chmarx -

I looked for you and BC as bleacher creatures behind the bench, but I got to the game late - quarter to the start of the game, rather than the 45 minutes or so beforehand that I usually do - and wasn't able to spot anyone when I scanned your section that I thought might resemble you two...

You guys had an impressive turnout. Did you stay for the women's game, too? I think we've discussed this here earlier on this site, but wouldn't it be great if UWL could fill Mitchell like that? I know you have football crowds that are impressive, but I still find it hard to understand why more fans didn't jump on the bandwagon last season for both hoops teams, when they finally were winning, and this season???

MMMM hulaburgers... We should all get freebie burgers for the Houligan's plugs, eh? Ha.  ;)

OS,

Eh, been there, done that a few years ago.  Had I KNOWN about it and played, I would have showed off my range!

I think it's more balanced than down.  BTW, saw that "my boy" Gio got the start!

Hope things are going well for everyone here.

looks like lax has dropped a few recently.  hopefully they can get things back.  I haven't been able to attend many games this year but looks like werner is a beast again and the squad is very solid

on an interesting note:  Tony Mane, former guard at Milwaukee Thomas More looks to have transferred to Lax from Chicago State.  If he plays at Lax next year will be quite a good ballplayer.

Bulk19, we were sitting in the top section right behind the scorer's table.

We're getting pretty good crowds this year.  I hear that your gym was full for the women's game!  And a nice crowd for the men's.

No, we didn't stay for the women's.  I would have liked to, but I wanted to go to the hotel and freshen up before dinner.

Freshen up?  You went to the game (and I assume to dinner) with Brian Carroll!!!  ;D  I feel if anyone goes to an away game, they traveled there, so the may as well watch both games.  Eat dinner two hours later! lol  :D

Where you been hiding?

just graduated college and it's been 'all business' with the job hunt.  I have a job so not as much time to go to Lax games but for sure keep tabs on it all.  I am really impressed as to the direction of the team, though currently they have hit a little slide.  Fact is though it matters how you finish the season, and hopefully this little hiccup ends soon.........

Will someone please tell me what is going on with Chris Ask?  I watched him last year and in our first game with him this year and I thought he was one of the best players in the league.  Then I go down and watch him play RF and he was horrible.  Not only shot poorly but made bad decisions.  Sounds like more of the same against Point.  3-25 in those two games.  Wow.  From a person from Stout, I am sure people are thinking "You have your own problems, buddy", and we do, but I had La Crosse and Oshkosh as the only guys with a shot at Point and now it is down to one and after Wed. it could be down to Zero.

QuoteDid anyone notice that Oshkosh is 15-3 and 7-2 in conference? Wow

Yep  ;D

On defending Point, I believe Coach TVD is going to pull out the ole defensive playbook when they shut down Kaslow and Bennett two seasons ago, and almost pulled off the major upset at Quandt in the tourney.

I would go ahead and say what it is, but I'm afraid someone on this board would read and tell the Pointers  :D

Pointer fans, TitansRus and I will be at the game. We'll be looking for ya Oldschool.

By the way, to say Wednesday's game is "Huge" I believe is an understatement  :)

Feel free to play zone.  If you shut down Kalsow (Krull) and Bennett (Rortvedt) again, what are you going to do about Hicklin and Beamish? lol ;D  I'm thinking El-Amin is going to have a big game too.

Change of plans, I actually AM going to be at the Point game now.

I'm not sure that a plan to shut down TWO guys will work for Oshkosh this season...  While Kalsow and Bennett were, IMO, bigger individual threats than any of the Pointers currently, the "supporting cast" at Point are more dangerous weapons.  The percentage of the load carried by individual players generally is less, and if Krull and Rortvedt aren't hurting a team, then Hicklin, or Beamish, El-Amin or Jackson are.

I don't think Mr. Downtown means they're gonna play a zone-he and I were talking about it the other day. We said zone would kill us-because Point would shoot the lights out even more than usual. We're thinking something else might be pulled out of the woodwork-at least something we think might work.

OS, I don't think El-Amin's gonna have a big of game as you think. Doedens D has really improved lately-El Amin probably'll get his assists, but points-wise I don't think so.

I think Oshkosh has a chance to pull of the upset. Will they-I'm not sure. All I know is I'm looking forward to a great game at one of the best arenas for a big game-Quandt.
Don't give up. Don't ever give up.
