Anyway, back to basketball...  Anybody know if two WIAC teams have ever been in the top 5 together?

I can't answer your question, PS, but I'd be surprised if it has never happened.

I can, and have, on the Daily Dose.

Ditto on the kudos for Gibson. I dissed him early in the year for playing soft and seemingly disappearing (no mean feat for a 7 footer) and now he has stepped up his play. He needs to play well throughout the rest of the season to give Oshkosh a chance to make some noise. He is the biggest difference maker in the conference right now. (No pun intended)

T2K, does that mean that Oshkosh is going to overlook La Crosse...?!?

PS:

My Oshkosh bureau says it all depends on whether the perch are hitting or not.  The guys take thermoses of coffee out to TVD every two hours when they are hitting,  and with a wireless camera he can watch practice from as far away as Wendts on the Lake.  ::)

Gibson gets a pass on this task because he doesn't fit in the shanty.  :D

You guys never asked me, but I hate LaCrosse; my needling of TVD are only because he's underacheived at Oshkosh.  I hope he proves me wrong this year and if he does, I'll be the first to shake his hand.  ;)

UW-O needs winning football and basketball, with tournament appearances and big crowds.  Winning breeds interest.

I've asked this before and I'll ask it again....  What is your defenition of underachieveing?  The guy has had two losing records in 16 seasons, with the last coming in 1995.  Since 1996, he has has four 20+ win seasons, and had 5 NCAA tournament appearances, including an Elite 8 berth in 2003.

Has he been as successful as Bo or Jack?  Of course not....  However I'm sure there are some WIAC schools out there who would be more than happy with what TVD has done.

I am by no means content, but I am trying to be open-minded as well.  When you are finishing in the top half of ONE of the toughest conferences on a yearly basis (8 out of 11 seasons) people need to keep that in perspective.  ::)

Again, the La Crosse/Oshkosh will be streamed live tonight!

Just go to the link above, and it will guide you the rest of the way.

TitansRus and I are on the call. A good way to watch the game La Crosse fans so you don't have to make the three hour trip.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Unfortunely  >:(

There are some things I control, and there are some things I don't.

Though, half of the money will go back to UW-Oshkosh to help improve the stream quality. We are still looking for some sponsers in the Oshkosh area interested in making the games free to viewers. But this is only our "Second" webcast, first since our Test broadcast.

Also, it's better quality than the 5.95 games. With Commentators, Sideline Reporter, 4 Camera angles, Instant Replay, and Schnazzy Graphics, it beats paying $7 dollars for a ticket, and about 20 bucks in Gas to travel from La Crosse.

Nothing beats seeing a game live.  You think if I had a choice to watch the National Championship game on CSTV instead of driving out to Salem, I'd do it?  I think not. lol  ;D :D :P

Downtown, Old School is right.  Nothing beats live.  You are taking your broadcast skills a bit too seriously if you think differently.

Point beats EC 90-61.  Rortvedt scored 25, Hicklin and Krull 14 apiece.  El-Amin gets a double-double the hard way with 10 points and 11 assists. Beyer had 27 for EC.

La Crosse scores 51 second half points to beat #5 Oshkosh at Kolf 73-62.  In related news, Titan2000 uses Mr. Downtown's tie to hang himself in the doorway of TVD's ice fishing shack.

Stout beats RF 84-78 in OT.  Nonemacher almost got a triple-double at 24 pts, 11 rebs and 8 blocks.

Whitewater rises from the ashes and defeats Platteville on Bo Ryan Court 67-52.

Various things: Bulk 19: I feel Bo was the best coach of all time in the WIAC. I base this on him winning 4 titles.. Closely behind is Ken Anderson. He won the most but never won a championship. Next are the Bennett Brothers. Next is Auggie. All are great.I have seen them all coach at D3. I thought both teams showed class at the BO Ryan dedication! EC should have won. As to the crowd dwindling for the Womens game, this always happens!. As to UWW last night: I was in attendance. Great game for 30 minutes. Turning point when Tetslag got 4th foul and we had to play very small . Bench for WW wore us out. They played a great defensive game. If they play this well in the tournament they could be dangerous! I will continue to post and use the God Bless salutation, even if I join TDT in the negative Karma Hall of Fame. I cannot quite loving you guys and gals. God Bless!
