Mr. Downtown

I know two years ago, coaching basketball was taught by TVD.

I bet Mr. Sager penned the textbook, though, seeing as he has seen the mountain at North Park.   ::)

Yup, took both of those courses. Helps a ton in preperation, production, and presentation. It's one thing to sit there and spout out what you see and make witty observations about it; but another - and more impressive - thing to actually understand.
"Drew, where's that story?"

LOL.... wow.... talk about a blast from the past. So Andrew Wagner, let me know if I've got this about right...

You've decided to start following DIII again now that your no longer young Oshkosh team is finally living up to your original hype? And it's been so long you didn't even remember your password? May I safely call you a fair weather fan about now?  :P :D :-*

Though I suppose someone who's a Brewers fan could never safely be called fair weather...  ;)

I think La Crosse has similar courses, too.

Wagner get your story straight here at first you said "I kind of wish one of the req's for RTF would be a course in bb/fb coaching or officiating (if they had such a class)." THEN you say you took the class? "Yup, took both of those courses." If you took them then why did you make the statement inside the parenthsis?
I took coaching football, taught by one of the pre-meyer coaches.  It was me a girl in the Athletic Training staff and the rest of the class was the football team.  I played football in elementary, middle and high school, I didn't learn a thing from the class.
I wish I would have had time (in my 5 years at UWO) to take coaching Basketball with TVD, would have been awesome and alot more interesting than coaching football.

Andrew Wagner

Klutch ... I did take them. It was part of the joys of being what you crazy kids like to call a "Non-Trad". My point was, having taken the courses, I think it would be prudent to include those in the RTF requirements, or at least make them required for those who want to do PbP. Sorry, I shouldn't have expected a broadcaster to understand the witty prose of a scribe  ;)

And diehardfan, you know you're still my favorite (right ahead of Dean Coleman and Prof. Sager!!). My return has more to do with the fact that I can't stand watching MU or UWM any more this year ... and, I'm at an NAIA school!!!! But how the hell did you know I forgot my password? That worries me a bit.

Going to try and make the trek to Whitewater tonight. So, BW .. warn security.

"Drew, where's that story?"

Mr. Downtown

Seeing that the RTF department now at Oshkosh has NO BROADCASTING classes I don't see any sports coaching classes anytime soon within RTF.

However, I think we make do for you ole UWO RTF alumn's. I mean, it is the first time that TTV Sports has even won an award, consider one of the best area's of the program, and oh yeah we now can reach a world wide audience. So we're doing ok...just ok  ;) ;D.

Anyways, lets move away from what RTF classes UWO has (as a student, I can't even begin to vent my fustrations with the department now).

A couple sleeper games tonight with Platteville @ Point, and the Titans on the road to  UW-Whitewater.

TitansRus and I were talking yesterday, about how if Oshkosh can win tonight, and win the first two games of the conference tourney, that would be a lock in the national tourney. Anyone object to that opinion?

You'll note that I'm a HOFer poster now, we get to be aware of these things. I also have the launch codes. A lot has changed since you temporarily became too cool for DIII. :D :D :D Kidding of course.

I noticed you only had 7 posts. So I just assumed you made a new name cause you forgot your old one. I didn't actually know, it was pretty obvious though. This all definitely prove that I have better deductive reasoning skills than you. Now about our ancient WIAC vs CCIW argument.... :P

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll tell them to pack their Tasers. :D

Though I'm not a HOFer and I don't have any launch codes, I kind of figured out AW got a new password and name as well, since, as "Big Sister" Diehardfan has already noticed.  It's good to see Andrew Wag the Dog back on board and I fondly remember he disclosing his dislike for Mar"Frickin"quette on occasion, well, ok, constantly.  :P

That Whitewater/Oshkosh game should be a treat.  You should get there more often since Whitewater is only 45 minutes or so from downtown.

Pointers won a fun game tonight, played good "D" (17 TO), but had a tough time on the boards (-13). Didn't seem to be shooting well despite the final stats. Hicklin is in a slump and needs to hit a few, they need him to get going again. Tough defense against Rortvedt kept him out of the game, P-ville kept a guy up tight on him nearly the whole game after he had a good start. Turning point was a steal by Drew Jackson that got the crowd fired up and every Pioneer possession  after that was met by a loud and long thunder. Senior class of two (Krull & Krautkramer) gets to enjoy another solo WIAC title. :D ;D :D
