Point and La Crosse just tipped off...  on Fox SportsNet, a replay of the game at Mitchell from a few weeks ago.

If you've got FSN, check it out, it was a great game!

Looks like Gopher Hockey over here on the west side of the state.  I guess we are considered in the Minnesota market.  Thus, we only get those games if none of the Minnesota teams are playing.   Which means we barely ever get to see those WIAC replays.

For Pointer fans.  ;)

I always want Point to win.  But, I really want them to win tomorrow night to prevent La Crosse from getting a bid.  I just don't want to play La Crosse or Oshkosh again in the NCAAs.  Maybe we can rig the brackets so we can all meet in the Final Four.  If the NCAA can guarantee La Crosse will be shipped out to Amherst, then I won't feel as bad if Point loses tomorrow and La Crosse gets in. lol  :D ;D ;)  I'm all for WIAC representation, but not if we have to play them again, that's why I was so disappointed in last year's results from Stout, La Crosse and Whitewater.

Great story... But it looks like as soon as your NCAA eligibility is up, you Twins are out there fishing for endorsements....  ;) I'm thinking like the Cleveland Indians in the Major League film - "You don't know us, but... "

Good stuff...

Safe travels to all who are heading to Point tomorrow. Let's hope, no matter the outcome, we can pull a rabbit out of the hat and get WIAC three bids...

I can sell out faster then a politician and endorse whatever pays me (lol) "... don't steal home without it"

I have to say that i am pulling for LC tomorrow so the wiac can get three in, it should be a great game.  Does Point stream live video?

X factors tomorrow I think are Drew Jackson for Point and TJ Nereng for LC.  If one of these guys can get hot or draw some key fouls on some key guys should swing the game a little.  As far as the starters the point play will be key, who ever can make great decisions with the ball and flow of the game will paly a larger role them they already do.  These teams match up pretty well inside and out.

Hope La Crosse has a warm bus for the trip.
You are only as good as the people around you.

I HATE BEING PART OF MINNESOTA!!!!!!!!   >:(

It may sound redundant, but safe travels to one and all tomorrow.

I do believe Point will win tomorrow, there is a team that know's how to win big games (helps having Kalsow on staff).  Lax has some GREAT experence and if they can pull out the win, confidence would be sky high for the Eagles going into the national tourney.

TWO more posts and you'll be eligible for my 3 v 3 posters team!  YOU CAN DO IT!

If you need a 5'8" 58-year-old smoker who lost to my sons in HORSE by the time they were 12, but is still undefeated in 1-on-1 (I play dirty!), you know how to contact me. ;)

2006
WW swept EC in reg. season, beat EC in Quarters
WW swept LX in reg. season, beat LX in Semis

PL swept SP in reg. season, lost to SP in Quarters
SP swept ST in reg. season, lost to ST in Semis
ST swept WW in reg. season, lost to WW in Finals

I got sick of doing this, so maybe I'll do the other seasons later! lol

**A No. 4 seed is the lowest seed to win a championship game (UW-Eau Claire-2001, UW-Oshkosh, 2003).

**Both times UW-Stevens Point has held the No. 1 seed they have won the tournament (2000, 2003).

Obviously these two "tibits" contradict each other.

who thinks UW-Oshkosh deserves to get in after losing to Point, LX 3 times and Elmhurst?

titan2000

I want them in. I will travel to watch them play if they do.  I don't think they will get in.

That's a tragedy, they had so much talent and wasted it for the past 3 years.

With Marsh and Seckar in the mix, they had a better chance than ever to win it all.

How can you explain this--Downtown, I need an assist.

Oshy is also the only DIII team to beat Point.  Thoses loses are against top 25 teams.  Going down to Lax three times does not look good but it is not all the bad too, they have a player who might be the best in DIII ..... whats his name ....... post player...... joe somebody (lol)

As for today's game and the automatic bid.  Aside from the earlier stuff I said the winner will be whom ever has the player that can step up and say "we are not losing today".  Is it Werner, Ask and/or Fehrenbach, can it be Krull, Hicklin and/or Rortvedt.

I for one am leaning Lax (if the refs let them play a little and Joe can stay out of foul trouble) but should he get in some trouble they showed on thursday that there is more then Werner on their team and capable of playing well without him. Both teams are able to play the defense needed to win.

Which coach is Bennett going for ... hmmmmm

may the good times role ... good luck to both teams

As soon as Swampgoon gains his "posting" eligibility, it won't matter.  You better be able to shoot the "3" because you won't have any post play with Swampgoon manning the box with his lead pipe.  He can also launch the 3 without hesitation.  We used to live next to each other and he could throw it from my steps across the picket fence and into the basket on his garage.  Where do you think Michael Jordan and Larry Bird got the ideas for those McDonald's ad commericals?  OK, maybe not all that is entirely true.  ;D
